disallowed goal v Salford
« on November 17, 2024, 09:38:04 am by obeonesarover »
I am a little surprised no one has mention the goal that was disallowed, I have watched the match replay to find it as it wasnt even given air time in the highlights, I am still puzzled as to the reason it was chalked off because as far as I can see the goalie was caught out and mistimed it, there didnt appear to be any foul on the keeper and the rest of players were just doing the usual jostling around , even GM wasnt asked about it in his interview , can someone on here enlighten me as to why this was chalked off , cheers

Keeper was allegedly impeded in his movement.

Discussed with a video here

Looks like it should have stood - Salford defender clearly and strongly pushed Rovers player into keeper

As I saw it, a Salford player pushed one of our players into the keeper (a potential penalty), and the ref blew for the keeper being impeded!

ok thanks lads, it appears to me that there were numerous infringements all by their players not one foul by any of ours, Salford was the dirtiest side I have seen down here , the game was so frustrating and caused in the main by yet another inapt ref display

Yeah, they were a niggly, dirty, time-wasting, horrible, cynical, typical Karl Robinson type team. They left the boot in on every tackle and fell over & cried foul if one of our players got close to them. Would hate to watch that sort of crap every week if I were a Salford fan! Good finish for their goal but apart from that it was dreadful to watch - and the bottle-less ref played totally into their hands.

And how did their number 10 stay on the field? I counted at least 3 yellow cards he should have had as well as a straight red for his foul and kick out at Jamie Sterry. Terrible reffing!

It was Lund - wily old warhorse - clapped like a seal to the ref immediately after :crying:

Nothing new there from the Numpty in.Black

Another one looking totally at odds with most of the home fans
