Of course Kettering played their hearts out as expected, and we had 2 or 3 cleared off the line..  another day it’s 3-1 to us in 90 mins.

I'm surprised in this day and age, there's should be no excuse for poor playing surfaces.

When you look at the autumn and winter we've had so far there should be no reason why even none league clubs shouldn't have a decent surface, even at this time of year.

Plus you'd think with them being top of their league they can obviously play at their level so a decent playing surface should be a prerequisite.

Playing surfaces like you want DD don't come in a Lucky Bag they cost serious amounts of investment initially and ongoing.  It should be no surprise to anyone that they don't prioritise the playing surface above what they put out on top of it.

The sheer determination and will of people behind the likes of Kettering astounds me, and there are 100's of them up and down our Country. Freely entering into a never ending struggle just to survive, never mind grow and develop - These people and the fans,supporters and benefactors of such clubs are the true heroes of football not the overpaid,overhyped tosspots inhabiting much of the premier league, SKY, BBC and all the other media hanger on's.

I was talking in relative terms, no one expects them to have a top of the range Desso Grassmaster but come on, if Green Thumb can turn my patch of grass into a passable lawn for 30 quid a quarter i'm quite sure the chemicals exist to turn any football pitch into something half decent and better than slumming it on something worse than Elmfield park!!
