I need to chill out because my blood pressure and heart rate must be going sky high during a game. I was really stressed for hours after the final whistle yesterday and still feel stressed this morning.I don’t understand GM’s tactical plan. I am confused. Why does he not tell Molly and Gibbo to swop sides for some of the game. Is it any wonder Ironside isn’t scoring goals. He doesn’t get any crosses to feed off. The most dangerous ball is from the byline. FACT. The basics of a game of football hasn’t changed over the decades or have I missed something? Where was the balance of our team in the 1st half yesterday? If we play with Joe and Billy we have to play either 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 It won’t work doing what we played in 1st half yesterday and it showed big time. What were we playing? Why is Maxwell starting? He is obviously way off the pace at present.Lots of questions which are frustrating the life out of me at present. We should be 5/6 points clear at top of this league. The fact we are not is imo self inflicted. Having said that it is where we are after 46 games that counts. I am not concerned we are not top at present just concerned we are not top because we really should be. If GM sorts it out and implements a plan that utilises our squad to it full potential then we will win consistently home & away and win this league. I am very confident we are capable of achieving that goal of being Champions but GM’s tactical acumen is worrying me.Ist half yesterday was bizarre and it’s not been the only time.I have faith he will get it right but I hope it happens imminently and not left too late.Yes it’s easy being a manager from your seat in the stand and your arm chair at home but some of what I and many of us I think can see is so glaringly obvious, it’s worrying.Stress out Paul it’s just a game of football I keep telling myself.Trouble is it’s much more than that to me and so many of us.It’s our passion. As for the Refs, well as said in another thread, don’t get me started. How many points have they cost us and I am trying to look at it through objective unbiased eyes.

How many points have they cost us and I am trying to look at it through objective unbiased eyes.Long season brother. Good squad, moving in the cup competitions and right in the mix in the league. They played at home on Tuesday and we played away in awful conditions on Wednesday; after 120 minutes away on a proper heavy pitch the previous Sunday. We did lose any ground on those around us in reality. We were 17th this time last year. We'll be ok.
Camps, if you were still stressed out for hours after the game you need to miss a few games mate.It definitely won’t be good for you in the long term.We all get wound up during matches and the passion, anger and sheer joy is part of going to watch the Rovers. For me, when the game ends I rewind to “normal” mode and although we discuss the game on the way home that’s it.If I was still stressed hours later I would be quite concerned.
As said already. It's a long season. Twists and turns and all that. I think we will go up simply because I haven't seen a better team than us all season really. Results haven't matched performances. Also because our deep squad will work more and more to our advantage as the season goes on. Also because I think we have the best manager in the league. Also because I think we will strengthen an already very strong squad in January. So many more reasons to feel optimistic than not.If we don't go up we'll have another go next season :-)
With the games in hand that MK, Wimbledon and Crewe have we’re not really in 3rd place are we? The good thing is that there is a gap appearing between 7th and 8th so we will be there or there abouts all season. But we need autos.2 of our next 3 games are as tough as they get - Wimbledon and Walsall away. Both are resolute defensive teams that are very hard to break down. We struggle against such teams. They are settled sides with consistent tactical set ups. I can’t believe after 3-5-2 worked so well midweek that McCann decided to change it again to something completely new and different. We have a big enough squad to give players a rest and still set up the same. The fact that we catapulted up the table last year is now irrelevant.
Guys. We are going up. We have a super squad, a terrific manager and a fanbase desperate for league one. It’s our year.
