Why do they never challenge GM on performances? They continually allow him to deflect questions when we play poorly with the same answers he gives over and over again and they keep asking the same questions to get the same response.

Hoden didn’t ask tough questions when he was at the Free Press. He isn’t going to start now he’s working for the club.

But isn’t this the whole point of being good at your job in this line of work? I could literally ask the same questions and get the same answers!

The club and GM are in danger of losing the footballing identity again.
The style of football is unrecognisable from the 2nd part of last season.
The honeymoon period is well and truly over.

I can't remember last time we played well. This seasons performances are shite, unless we have a big January we will not be going up 100%.

Just 10 days ago, mate, at Fleetwood. Then GM went and altered the team, and we reverted back to the same old crap.

Just to add to my OP, I am not suggesting that GM doesn’t offer an honest assessment because he does every time. I just think he needs pressing more on why he isn’t getting the best out of a squad he has put together.

In fairness to the radio Sheffield lot, they can’t win. They need to keep clubs on side or they don’t have a product.

And when they did put tough questions to McCann previously he was so thin skinned it was unreal. After the Harrogate game last season he got very annoyed at the questioning of the players not putting a tackle in and took it personally rather than addressing a question we were all asking.

Gone are the days where anyone can really question a club or individuals unless it’s on their terms. Clubs are too powerful now. You see it all the time as soon as people step into really questioning things they conveniently lose their access to certain things.

Can usually tell a manager is under pressure when they wheel Rob Staton out for the difficult questions.

I remember when he nearly made Richie Wellens cry...

If he knew the answer to that we would be top of the league.
He is trying to find the answers to that question. I am confident he will. It’s just getting the jigsaw in place and it’s taking longer to put all the pieces in the right place than he thought it would.
When he does we will be flying.
