Superb. Just give him the ball every time.
What a treat they are!

I like him, more prepared to take his man on than Sterry and looks a better defender.

I caught him laughing at one point as he did his third step over in one attack. He knows.

I’d have given him MoM today but for Kelly’s excellent performance

He’s a powerful runner isn’t he. Something we actually lack generally.

I saw Grimsby and hull fans taking the puss out of him for it, I love it.
What's not to live about a guy enjoying his  football with cheeky step overs?

Not just the stepovers, he nutmegged 2 just in front of us before he fired that delightfull cross that 1 or 2 missed with their attempted sidefoot finish

I'm not sure whether he would be an amazing or disaster signing but would definitely be entertaining. Adds something extra certainly.

Definitely worth another 6 months, think he has looked good when he’s had a chance to show what he can do

He was coming back from a bad injury,Think their is a good chance he will be here till at least the end of the season Him and Flemming both look a level above where we are and they are physically stronger than Maxwell and sterry not too say they are bad players

Agree with other posts, offered much more today than sterry, he has to be ahead of sterry when both are fit.

Couldn’t make the game with work and the kick off time.
Devastated I missed all this.

From what I’ve seen Nixon is our best RB Shane we can’t get him fit for a run of games. Sterry has a good delivery but he’s very passive.

Josh spent 15 months out of the game following an incident when he fainted just prior to a game against Birmingham whilst playing for Hull.

He was then picked up by Grimsby and was part of their team which reached the FA Cup quarter finals after beating Premiership Southampton.

He later explained to the press that his fainting episode was due to a blood clot which left him almost paralysed down his left side.

So this lad has had a difficult few years but Grant knows him and I’m sure he can get the best out of him.

I really like the look of him.
When he came on as sub in that tricky tie at Kettering he just took the game by the scruff of the neck.

We might have a very good player on our hands here.

We signed some defender (on loan ?) a few years ago who specialised in conceeding penalties against us - i think he did it three times - he fouled Afinfenwa needlessly I recall

Against Port Vale Josh dived over a forward and could have conceeded    ---- today he had a firm grip on someone's left arm on the blind side of the ref   - hopefully his run of practising "dark arts continues"

Donervon Daniels.

Horrendous player. Currently at Walsall.

I've got a very good idea what caused that.

I have a vague memory of him playing for Luton - let's hope he starts on Boxing Day and concedes a penalty for a foul on Molly !!!!!

Weren't we due to sign him (from who knows where?) then Luton gazumped us & loaned him straight out to us?
Worked out for us imo

Yep. What was even more bizarre was, Luton signed him as a free agent and then immediately shipped him out here. He only ever made three appearances for them as well.

He plays the game with a ‘smile on his face’. Having come through what Pancho has posted & in his post match interview the other day he’s grateful to be with the group & is working hard in training so that when the chance came he could show he was worth the shirt.

Today he was like a matador in the attacking half even when they started doubling up on him his control & burst of pace got him to that byline time after time.

In front of Sterry in the pecking order now for me.

Good thread , but what nobody has mentioned here or previously ( apologies if I missed it ) the turn he made v Port Vale

Tight to the touchline on East Stand and with a Vale player stopping him getting up the line ( it seemed ) the ball came down from South Stand line and he just turned took the ball left the player for dead and set off over half way

It was an outrageous piece of skill and I would love to see it , just to see how he did it.

Anyone that saw it will know what I am talking about

I have the same medical condition and blood thinners take some of the fears away but make you more vulnerable to internal bleeding from collisions., and in his case tackles. His condition explains why he enjoys life so much and expresses it on the field with that smile and those stepovers.GM keeps his cards close to his chest in terms of possible acquisitions and contract extensions .
