Getting fed up...

Of this place and getting seriously close to binning it off forever.

So much ridiculous sh*te and unbelievable amount of negativity.

I accept we have had a poor run recently and we aren't playing great but after 22 games we are in an automatic promotion spot, so there ain't many doing much better.

Talk of the club failing? Sacking Grant? It's all his fault???? Jesus christ.

Get a grip.

We are a league 2 team in league 2. It's a tough league to be in and has always been a league where you can lose 10games and still win the league. Lose 15 and still make play offs.

Yes TB has put some money up but the money has had to be used across the squad putting right 4-5yrs of miss management. The big squad will become invaluable at some point, how many times previously have we really suffered once injuries kick in. That said part of me wonders if GM built a squad like this and maybe due to the work of DR we haven't suffered the injuries therefore giving him a problem?

GM always said January will be important and a time to strengthen again, so the plan is in place.

We are in the last promotion spot so if someone offered me the league table as it stands now after 46 games I would take it 100%.

As my old dear used to say, if you've nowt good to say then don't say owt.

Yeah we need to get a grip. So do the team in fairness but I think a point will find where we have to trust ourselves and play our way I.e not change formation every game to get some perceived advantage. And we’ll show our quality.

I try not to come on straight after a defeat, but when I do I resisting commenting that night. Tbh it starts in the stands, the cries of "we're f**cking shit" or "SHOOT !"" then the same folk groaning when it goes wide/high/both.
& don't get me started on the clown not throwing the ball back when we had a corner near the end & saying "what's the point?"
Think some fans think we're just gonna turn up & win every game, HMS Piss the League & all that. I know we're frustrated at the time but christ, my grandson didn't speak to me until we were halfway home, I'll let him off, he's 8.

If you’re close to “binning it off” now then absolutely do it my friend because 20 odd years on, there have been plenty of times it doesn’t get any better!

Stick to Wordle, trust me.

Very well said indeed, sadly some fans/followers don't really understand the game at all.

I've only been on this forum last year or two. I get frustrated with Donny at times as we all do as fans but ppl lose sight of what we are and will always be and that's the fact for almost all lower league fans. We will win some lose some have good tines have bad times.

We are meant to be SUPPORTers

I think you’re wrongly amplifying one poster’s more extreme view to be representative of all those with anything slightly critical to say.
This is a fan’s football forum where people are free to have an opinion and discuss it with others. You shouldn’t be getting offended at that.
A slightly critical post on here is very different from shouting pelters at the players and coaching staff on a matchday, which I don’t think anyone is doing.
I hated the “Gary McSheffrey, get out of our club” chant for him to hear. That for me isn’t something supporters do.
But, if this forum just becomes forced cheerleading then it ceases to be interesting.

PS I think you’re a good poster and shouldn’t go anywhere!

It’s one of the ‘joys’ of supporting rovers, it’s a roller coaster ride of highs and lows, and I know it’s a cliche, but we never, ever do a thing the easy way. Have faith and avoid the extremes - celebrate the wins, don’t get too down with losses and enjoy the ride.

I much prefer it to supporting a premier league team like Man Utd or Man City who rarely lose…………....OH!  :coat:

Its always the same ones though int it! Dont comment much when things are going well. And come wading in with negativity, wanting everyone sacked, players sold, etc when we lose a game. If they are young uns then they are half excused for the misguideded passion. If they are old uns then theres no excuse. Use the experience life has given you. Take a step back, take a moment to rationalise. You might type something a little more balanced. Dont be a drainer!!

There is always one or two and always will be but recently it seems to be more and more that are getting that way. I'm just getting bored of it.

I have no issue with an opposing view, in fact I genuinly enjoy an opposing view and a good debate about something, I'm not always right and will always listen to another side of the argument.

People talk of money invested but it isn't all in the playing budget, it's in staff and training facilities etc. I'm not sure where/when or if figures are ever made public but I doubt we are at the top end of the league in terms of playing budgets.

Talk of renewals being wrong for example Woody because of his injury issues....that's easy in hindsight. Im sure if GM/TB knew he would be out long term they wouldn't have renewed.

Billy has always split the room, now there is ppl talking of getting rid of Joe?!

Ppl talking of Bailey not being good enough for this league when last yr he was 7-8/10 every week, so clearly he IS good enough for this league.

It's a lot more than one person.

It has just become really negative recently and it's wearing thin.

It's the same in the stands, all a lino has to do it get one marginal call wrong and that's it, pelters the rest of the game. Said it after the Everton game but if our fans put as much effort into singing songs in support of the team as they do laying into a ref or an opposition player we'd have a great atmosphere

The majority of ppl I hear shouting at refs and linos need to read the rules of the game and keep up with changes!!!

Calling for offsides from goal kicks for example!

Also some changes to the rules in recent years for linesmen:

- If unsure make eye contact with ref and wait for his descision.

- Flag if a foul in vicinity IF they think the ref couldn't see it (so not all fouls)

Yet everyone screaming at lino's for not flagging every foul.

Some of the refs we get are poor but makes me laugh the abuse they get and those hurling abuse don't even know the rules  :chair:

Don’t bin it off mate.
Bloody well said, we need voices of reason.
Some don’t seem to remember last Boxing Day, now that was pathetic.
…..and look what eventually happened.

Whilst I agree with you, I think the singers & the moaners are usually different groups, we've generally got good support, it's disappointing when the little things stop the songs tbh.
