Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas. The games are happening thick and fast. I'm drinking Yorkshire Tea, thinking of home.
Here is the preview of the top games taking place tomorrow and Monday.
Wallsall vs Newport: Wallsall are flying, as we learnt on Boxing Day. Newport have a very good record against Wallsall, could they burst Wallsall's promotion bubble, Very unlikely. Wallsall have only won 1 of their EFL games against Newport, and Newport are unbeaten in their last 5 visits to Wallsall. But Wallsall have won 5 out of their last 5 EFL games, so it's hard to look past a home win. Best result for Rovers, a Newport win. Realistically, it's a Wallsall win.
Grimsby vs Port Vale: This is an interesting fixture, not one Port Vale will be looking forward to. Port Vale have lost their 3 past away games at Grimsby. Grimsby have won 5 of their last 7 games against Port Vale. Best result for Rovers, a Grimsby win. Realistically, it's a Grimsby win.
MK Dons vs Crewe: Both these teams have inconsistent form at the moment, both lost their last game. Crewe are looking to avoid losing on three successive trips to MK Dons. MK Dons have won 3 of their last 4 games against Crewe. Best result for Rovers, a MK Dons win. Realistically it's a MK Dons win.
Wimbledon vs Gillingham: Again another pair of teams with inconsistent form at the moment. Wimbledon are unbeaten in their last 5 home games against Gillingham, keeping a clean sheet in each 4 victory. Best result for Rovers, a Gillingham win. Realistically, it's a Wimbledon win.
Bradford vs Chesterfield: Bradford won their last game against Port Vale, Chesterfield lost their last game at Fleetwood. Prior to that game Chesterfield won 3 EFL games in a row. This is a tough game to predict, could easily go either way. Bradford have won their last four games against Chesterfield, and keeping a clean sheet in each game. Best result for Rovers, a Bradford win. Realistically, it's a Bradford win.
Cheltenham vs Notts County: Both these teams won their last game. Cheltenham have had the better recent form than Notts County. Notts County have only won just one out their last five games away at Cheltenham. Best result for Rovers, a Cheltenham win. Realistically, it's a Cheltenham win.
Colchester vs Rovers: A tough game against an improving team. They are on a ten game unbeaten run, and haven't conceded a goal in 690 minutes. We have a good record against Colchester, we've won the last 3 meetings, winning 3 of the last 6 away games at Colchester. Best result for Rovers, a Rovers win. Realistically, it's a Colchester win.
What do you think about these top of the table games? Can Rovers prove me wrong?

A Wimbledon win tonight and we’re out of the automatic spots and only in the play-offs by 1 point.
I was right on Salford last week. They are looking strong and can leapfrog us with their game in hand now.
I feel that Grimsby are over performing and may soon drop off. They are level on points with 2nd but have a negative goal difference. Which takes some doing.
