I dearly hope it’s a central midfielder.

We could do with one, were a bit light weight there with just Sterry, Emmanuel, Nixon and Bailey who can play there.

Our auto promotion hopes could literally hinge on this being a success. There’s no hiding the fact we’ve been poor in this area, especially against st some of the better teams where we’ve struggled to get control of games. Whether that’s just on the midfield is questionable but I think we need to better in this area of the pitch

Looks like it could be him as reported in the Yorkshire Post.

I said the same in the rumour mill. His inexperience makes me nervous. Pinning our hopes on him could be risky.

I’m also concerned about this but I will reserve my judgement until i have seen him play.
I dearly hope that Crew can be the player we are looking for.

Crew, a graduate of United's youth system, is highly-regarded at Thorp Arch. He began training with the senior side last season and was taken to Germany for the first team pre-season training camp.

But Crew's opportunities to be involved at senior level have been limited due to the fierce competition for places in the midfield engine room. Boss Daniel Farke has an embarrassment of riches in the centre, including Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rothwell, Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev and Josuha Guilavogui. Farke handed Crew his debut in their routine league win over Plymouth Argyle earlier this season. The 18-year-old, who came off the bench for Wales in their friendly with Gibraltar in June last year, was not included in the matchday squad for Saturday's FA Cup win over Harrogate Town.

Possibly to avoid the risk of injury which would have scuppered the loan deal.

As Hansen once said "you don't win anything with kids"!!

I look forward to seeing Ennis and Crew ripping League 2 to shreds in the hoops!

"Crew was one of the shining talents within Cardiff City's academy, but when the allure of a category one academy and a then-Premier League side in Leeds came calling, the Bluebirds had their hands tied. Cardiff received a six-figure fee for the teenager.

He has gone from strength to strength since that move to Elland Road in September 2022, though, with Wales U21s boss Matty Jones lavishing him with praise recently.

“Charlie has been our country's captain in every age group so far, and we certainly feel he has the potential to not just captain the U21s but to be a huge prospect in the senior side," Jones said during the winter.  "

He really did, if this lad is starting then him at the 6, Bailey at the 8 and then Sbarra playing the 10. Midfield with balance

A relatively tender age but we have to hope this lad is good enough to hit the ground running. We are in need of something in there and we have to hope this lad fills the void. GM can seriously ring the changes now. We’ve got a fair amount of sorting the wheat from the chaff.

I’d imaging, after this lad’s on-board, there will be a few outgoings.

This lad sounds incredibly talented. However, League 2 is a hard, unforgiving league.

We can only hope.

Well, it took a few games for Craig to settle in as we didn't really start our run last season until February . We were mullered at home by Stockport on Jan 27th but the home win over Tranmere on 10 Feb is when we saw the marked improvement with all our January signings starting to show their worth.

There were similar concerns over Craig but he wasn't the only one contributing to our change in fortunes.

It will take a collective improvement again but dare I suggest, the margins aren't quite as wide as they were last season. The next three or four games we'll see how the newbies integrate so it's important we bare that in mind.

We all hope yesterday will also help in galvanising our approach to games by raising our game another notch.

Apparently Close scored a Panenka I imagine if he had missed he might well have been on his bike. Joes penalty seemed fine from what I saw .. just unlucky

The Hull keeper had probably done his homework on where Joe might put his penalty.
The majority of his pens for us have been aimed at the left hand side and low just inside the post.

Ironsides wasn't the worst penalty ever but was a nice height for the keeper to save. Following on from that all our penaltys were top notch

Ben Close's panenka was brilliantly executed - he made the arse in goal for Hull look just that.

This news is on Skysports as well, so only a matter of time then.

All we can do is see but looks a hopeful signing and hopefully the new dynamic will benefit the whole team. Mols goal yesterdays was exactly what we have been lacking this year, playing balls through and players running on for a chance at goal.

Street will help with this as well, pulling players out of position, creating gaps and chance for themselves and other people around them.

They have been lacking because of how other teams in L2 play against us. Low block sides we just don’t seem to be able to find a solution! Against those sides, there simply isn’t the space. We have to find another string to our bow or we’re going to have a very frustrating second half of the season. On that score, all 3 new lads will give us a new dimension.

Yeah but Street started doing it as soon as he came on against port vale and got success,
The lack of movement is our biggest killer.

Them run will pull players out of position and create spaces for Sharp, so when he gets the ball he isn’t surrounded and can get an actual shot off
