Although I’d been to sporadic matches in 73/74 this was the first season I thought Rovers are for me. Went to both games and how I wish there was some footage as memories are blurry, apart from our own goal at WHL which put us at 2-3, and broke our remarkable spirit that night.

I didn’t do either Hull City or Crystal Palace as my first match was vs Swansea on 18/10/75. I didn’t do night matches until the following season when my mother upgraded her Reliant Robin to a Vauxhall Viva after passing her full car licence.
