Was just wondering how many times percentage wise The team who misses first goes on and wins the tie? Would always want the opposite side to miss first, but seems like a bit of a curse Would have to check the statts?
Didn’t we buck that particular trend in the shootout at Chester? From memory we went first & Jamie Patterson missed.
Apparently 60% of shootouts are win by the team which shoots first.

It's an interesting question from the OP,I've noticed for years now, that the team who makes the first miss(not necessarily the first pen taken) more often than not, goes on to win the shoot-out.
