The glitch has obviously been sorted now so I've been able to buy mine online.

Got my ticket the ‘old fashioned way’ by ringing the ticket office. Was number six in line, but was less than 5 minutes before I spoke to one of the girls.

It’s good to talk.

The selling process seems a bit OTT with the points system. If you've not been to many games this season, you can't buy tickets until the 3rd Feb? Most people will have forgot about it by then, thus reducing the gate even further. This is already a worry with the Monday night grave yard slot.

I'm guess when demand dries out they will go on general sale earlier than the above?

Well if you're forgetting about it with only a week to go then you're not that bothered anyway, eh?

As, I said these dates are probably subject to change based on demand. General sale will be sooner than 3rd Feb, you would think?

I still can't help thinking that we've been massively shafted by the schedulers with this one. A 12.5k gate will probably be a 10.5k gate.

I'm a ST holder and it didn't come up as though it was because of that. Handful of seats showing to select in the south west corner

I’m and ST holder and it came up as exactly that, the nominal seat that my ST is assigned to is held reserved for me

Maybe they are keeping seats back to see if season ticket holders in the South Stand take up their seat, and then make those seats available for general sale if the ticket holders can’t get to the game.
It’s also unreserved ticketing in the south stand.

Judging by what's been said at MTO, the club are less than happy with the scheduling either.

I got the impression both clubs have the hump about it. Totally down to TV the clubs had no input at all Tbh it shows the contempt TV really has for lower ranked clubs 125k for shown on "proper" TV.  40k fto clubs being shown on iplayer

What do we think the gate will be? 12k-13k? Assume Palace will sell out?

Hover over DRFC then you should see 'reserved tickets', tick your name then proceed.

Didn't work for me , but I fluked it in another part of the "Site"

Had a quick look on the Palace fans' forum.

The only posts following the switch to Monday night are from Palace fans who were planning to attend but now won't be coming.
Disappointing but hardly surprising.

My gut feeling is similar to what others have said, originally I think the attendance would have been 12k plus but now having been switched, somewhere between 10 & 11k. I've not seen what allocation we've given to Palace, but there maybe no need to open the North for home fans. Hope I'm wrong of course.

Yes, the TV money for the Iplayer appearance will make up for the shortfall but not to the extent other clubs will benefit from the other selected TV slots which I think is wrong..

No regard for the travelling fans whatsoever when the TV companies divied up the slots.

I think we understood we accepted the compromises to mitigate the replays but I don't think anyone realised the ties would be spread over 5 days with less than ideal kick off times.

It's good to hear clubs and fans alike are equally unhappy about all this.

What do we think the gate will be? 12k-13k? Assume Palace will sell out?
Depends on the availability of transport back from Doncaster to South London!

I think that's the biggest factor Alan that will put Palace fans off. Can't see many school age kids making the trip for starters.

The TV companies and the FA have decided when games are played. There are two premier league clubs not on main stream TV that 5 days hence  we lose out by £85,000 TV money. Even the game on Tuesday night Exeter v Nots Forest is on TV.
Man Utd are charging between £51/ £61 for away Leicester fans and are on TV Friday night.
The only other game that’s on I player is Blackburn Wolves.
What do they say the glory of the cup yes it might be up to the third round.
Disgrace really by the TV companies and it makes you wonder if it’s worth getting this far we could been playing a league 2 game and trying to improve our position in the league.

For the monday of the tie.
You can get a train from doncaster to kings cross at 22:48.
£18.20 single. Arrives at kings cross at 01:11.

Where you can go from there is anyones guess. Depends on what part of london ppl go to.

Long day/night if you go for that

I hear you but any extra time and you're in right trouble. Pens - no chance.

That's the last train I think too.

I have never been brave enough to gamble on a normal evening match never mind a cup match.

I'll be driving.
