What do we think the gate will be? 12k-13k? Assume Palace will sell out?
Depends on the availability of transport back from Doncaster to South London!

I think that's the biggest factor Alan that will put Palace fans off. Can't see many school age kids making the trip for starters.

Ive never managed to get back from Doncaster to London after a night match by train; which is absurd really.

That's crazy philsky.
Our transport infrastructure is a disgrace.

For the monday of the tie.
You can get a train from doncaster to kings cross at 22:48.
£18.20 single. Arrives at kings cross at 01:11.

Where you can go from there is anyones guess. Depends on what part of london ppl go to.

Long day/night if you go for that

I hear you but any extra time and you're in right trouble. Pens - no chance.

That's the last train I think too.

I have never been brave enough to gamble on a normal evening match never mind a cup match.

I'll be driving.

It is the last, and id do the same. I wouldnt risk it.

From a selfish point of view I’ll be laid up in hospital so am thrilled I can watch on IPlayer

Whatever you're having done, buddy, best of luck with it, and get well soon.

Just checked Trainline - last training from Donny to KC is 22.48. Gets in about 1am!

You would think if it went to extra time or pens and they can gauge how many palace fans are on te train they would delay it in doncaster just like the did with ours after the play off final defeat in the play offs at Charlton although we were then sponsered by LNER

London Undergroud runs night trains but this shows how inconsiderate the timing of this match is to everyone but renders attendance by away fans a nightmare and very expensive .

It will certainly spoil the stadium atmosphere by reducing the number of Palace fans at the game.
From memory, whenever we have entertained them at the KM (as it was then) the Palace fans have been really loud and turned up in big numbers.
The FA don’t seem to have an understanding that making us play on a Monday night is a shocking decision.

In the good old days Wolf there would have been a Supporters' club special train ...and knowing DRFC  I bet they will be helping Palace sort one .

They won't fetch more than 1000 to this. Some of their prem crowds have been abysmal. Sold only half their allocation v Aston villa

We could absolutely sell north stand tickets if the club generate more ticket news excitement.

Win the next few games and the buzz and hype will create itself no one will want to miss it.

Not sure what I want palace to do, a few wins and they start knocking on on the door for Europe downside is winning puts them on a high, on the other hand if they start losing they start slipping towards relegation so want to start concentrating on the league and morale is low and we can take advantage in a nothing to lose game

Bit shit that I can't buy my ticket today even though the website says they are on sale today for 30+ priority points.

Well technically I can but for east and west stand but I can't buy for south stand because they are still reserved for season ticket holders.

Surely they've had long enough to buy theirs, plus there's no mention of south stand being held for season ticket holders.

I had this problem with crewe away tickets at season so realistically I don't get any priority with my points or multi pass.

You’ve found a flaw in the system there for sure.

Can you buy extra tickets for others in the South Stand?
Maybe that is why some are holding back.
There is plenty of space in the east and west stands for people to be able to buy consecutive tickets to sit with friends and relatives who don’t have season tickets. I wonder just how many are biding their time?

The website says STH are held until 28th, however tomorrow 27th is when members are allowed to buy. Logically how is that going to work. Members who log on tomorrow will see hardly any seats and then on 28th there will be more when all the STH unused go on

7 days is far too long for STH to think about getting a ticket.

I am actually considering buying a season ticket next season even though I can't make every game.

I would say a fair few of us, me included, who buy season tickets know that we will not be able to make every game. But buy a season ticket anyway

You can inform the ticket office more than 24 hours before kick off that you won’t be attending. I think that you are allowed to do this up to 5 times per season. The amount of credit then comes of the following season’s ticket if you renew it. This might be a clincher for some supporters.

I got an extra for the south stand which seems unfair if STH can’t get one

We kinda messed up as our kids season tickets are in the middle of 2 adults. Kids can't attend on a school night so we've weirdly had to buy with the two in the middle left free.  Hopefully the people who buy them will move down one and be understanding (probably not knowing my luck).

A little frustrating they couldn't do anything in the system to get round it.  Hopefully they'll let us rearrange at the end of the season.

Just out of interest, how many (as a proportion) fans go to away games on the train?  Supporters club coaches will always be popular and I for one always would drive.  Our train network isn’t up to it really.

Just as I thought. Indeed I have just logged in and not one South Stand ticket available on the day they go on sale to members.

Phoned the ticket line on the queue for 30 mins to be told yes call back tomorrow because that's when South Stand STHs get released. I tried to explain that they are going to get loads of calls like this today when they should have let members go on sale AFTER they released STH not BEFORE.
