Totally Random post i know but as anyone else noticed or know the reason the 10 Yard markers have been removed from the corners of the pitch when taking corners for the defenders to be away from the ball ? i noticed at the other grounds they are still there but the keepmoat seems to have been removed and wondered why especially given the ref at the weekend struggled marking 10 yards out on every occasion

Maybe they decided it’s not that helpful so no longer bother. Anyway, are they marked 10 yards from the flag or from the quadrant? As they’re unofficial maybe it’s whatever the groundskeeper is told to do.
Unless the defenders stand almost on those marks on the goal line or the touchline, we still have to imagine an arc measured 10 yards from the corner arc (not 10 yards from the flag).

Maybe they could paint the pitch green as it's a bit brown at the moment.

I wonder if it impacts the Rugby pitch markings.

The FA doesn't appear to mention them, at least not in its Law 1: Field of play section.

Thanks All for the responses but just a thing that seems to have disappeared and no one knows why then. Clearly the home games have been exhilirating at times to have had time to notice :-)
