Son of Trevor. That’s ruined the build up for Saturday’s game. Oh dear.

It’s also in the threads about who the match refs are each week.

He was as bad as his dad today if not worse , terrible performance by him so of the fouls given were laughable

Got his cards out for their lads but allowed a lot of roughhousing on Ironside all game. Would give him 5/10.

really I thought he has been best we have had this season, tried to let the game go and apart from the one early on on the edge of their box which could of been a foul thought he got most other things correct

Funny 'int it how we all see things differently. I thought he had a good game, tried to let things flow, didn't hear the whistle too often, could've given Ironside a bit more protection, but it does seem that Ironside likes a good tussle with defenders, so the refs seem to view it as six of one, a half dozen of the other!

Thought he was a decent ref today, let the game flow. Sure he had some dodgy decisions but for the first time I didn’t go out thinking how shit a ref we had!

He made amends after letting too many things go both ways.
Far better than his old man

not bad considering we only failed to win about 3 of the 10 or 11 games he reffed us

I also had him being decent overall today.
He did try to let the game flow and didnt fall into the trap of getting the cards out too soon into the game.
I did think he bottled giving us a pen if it was in the box, (hard to see from where I sit whether it was in the box) or award a red if not as Ennis would have been through on goal.
However, as was the case with his dad, we won as was often the case in the past.

I couldn’t believe he didn’t give a penalty when that big oaf centre half of theirs climbed all over Ennis’ back and completely flattened him. I thought is was a nailed on pen.
On the subject of pens, has anyone else noticed we have only had 1 all season!!!?

I thought it should be an easy game for him to ref with both sides committed to playing football and overall it was. He gave some far to easy early fouls a and they seemed to play on it after that. I was glad to see him play on when that tackle came in and sent their player 360 arse over tit, and he seemed to let it flow after that.

Certainly not the worst we have seen this season, so fair play to him.

The linesman was'nt great either. Thought there was a hint of offside about the winner but linesman did'nt keep up.

Street was onside, and only went past the last defender a split second after the ball was kicked. Excellent decision. At the time, I thought their goal had an offside in the build up.

I wondered about the tackle on Ennis in the first half. It looked like a nailed-on yellow card and either a free kick or penalty to us?

Anybody like to comment?

Bit strange he seemed to give fouls against us all the first half then fouls against them all the second half Maybe he can only blow his whistle when pointing one way :)

Yes - this exactly. 1st half blew up for everything mainly against us, 2nd half changed totally - wierd as…

I sit in that end of the west stand, personally I wasn't up in arms that it was a pen, it was a coming together.

That said if it had been the other way around I've no doubt it would have been a pen and a card of some colour.

I'd like to see a replay......sometimes get initial reaction totally wrong when watching (bear in mind that's all refs at this level have).

We must realise that League One refs are pretty terrible, and League Two refs strive to be as good as them one day.
