Ethan Ennis

Are we under an obligation to play him or something? Seems miles away from the level needed and has not offered much at all, Hurst been sent out on loan too, something doesn’t add up imo

If hurst has been watching he must be wondering what the hell he has done to piss off grant for him to be loaned put over this lad.

Yes hurst can be a bit lightweight, but at leaet he looks energetic.
Ennis looks like he is knackered from minute 1

Id bring Gibbo back in on Saturday. Ennis so far has struggled to impress me.

Still very new, still very young. Don't write him off..I'm sure the staff know what they got if they put in above Kyle. Although all young loans are a gamble.

Gibson is light years ahead of him and Strest in the wide positions.

Gibson looks out best player when he's on it. Again we were better when he came on.

I get the Street signing as he goes in behind a lot. Ennis seems exactly the same type of winger as Gibson just nowhere near as good on the ball.

Play Gibson!!!

The key phrase there is "when he's on it" Not sure if the bloke is lazy or his reaction time is just shocking.

We played a premier league side who hardly made any changes all our forwards were not in the game apart from Molyneux in the first half.
Ironside was better when he came on and Molyneux continued to be our best player the rest anonymous as an attacking force.
So we move on and hope they show more in our up and coming league games

Am guessing Hursty knows what he's done to piss Grant off. I'd love to know, but I guess I never will.

I’ve also thought the same about Ennis, I’ve been waiting for him to kick on but so far it hasn’t happened. Looks lost in men’s football

Perhaps he should be reining back the aggression; he must have innate ability to be where he is.

He’ll have played on in some pain.

I thought Ennis looked a real threat in the recent Harrogate game.

Happy not to right him off but if he keeps getting starts every game after these performances I don’t think it’ll be good for him or the team.

Even defensively when we’re pressing it’s obvious how much more time their players have on his side of the pitch compared to molyneux chasing them down on the other side.

Christ that's even worse than I thought at the time. Stone cold red card with VAR. That's the sort of challenge that ends careers.

Ouch - that looks horrendous.

The lino seems to have had a good view!

Anyone got a replay of the challenge we did on their lad in the South Wast corner. Think it was Street. That looked a bad one to me on a single viewing.

Not able to get a view like that picture from the south stand but surely the officials should pick up on it.
Red card all day long.

Always been the case when we play a "bigger team" its always amazed me how they can get away with incidents like that against lower league teams. If it had been the other way around i'm quite sure the biased ref and the totally incompetent west stand lino would have been fully on it with our players ass not touching the ground till he was out of it!

Every time I've watched us play a "big team" we always and i mean always fail to get the rub of the green, its ingrained into the officials makeup.

Would have looked a proper plum with VAR but im quite sure they would have fudged it to say it was too long after the event.

Just watched the game on iPlayer, and the tackle was shown repeatedly in real time and slow motion. Commentators saying at least a yellow but in slow motion looked more like red.
I know it was early in the game, but suprised Grant did not consider taking him off, the lad tried his best but seems clear watching the game again, that it did affect him,  it was a nasty challenge.

What makes it even worse is that the officials would have been told about how they'd missed a clear red card incident. It would stand to reason that human nature would then make them more likely to favour us in some 50/50 clashes. Not a chance from this pumped up group of incompetents, they just carried on as previous.

Dodgy as f.
