Unconvincing

Happy with the 3 points but we desperately need more firepower. We should have been out of sight by half time and not biting our nails towards the end. They were awful but we just did enough. A big improvement needed for the final push I think. A few more scrappy 1-0 wins will do fine though. RTID

We are not a great time to watch.

Lacking quality all over the pitch, only Molyneux Olowu and Anderson showed up tonight.

I know street got a goal but he should of had loads more with those chances

Thought it was a good hard fought win on a farmers field/sandpit of a pitch, fought hard when down to 10.
We’re a league 2 team not premiership.

I don't understand what happens after around 10-15 minutes, every game is the same. Dominate early proceedings then retreat into ourselves, only difference today was we scored when we were infront

Yes, but Street was getting in good positions to score, even if he only converted one. Aren't there crumbs for comfort?

He could have had a first half hat trick with just a bit more composure.

Difficult to watch after 25min but a brilliant night of results.
By the way Notts fans aren’t happy with their performance and apparently Wimbledon looked very average too!

Agree with you. We fought out the win on an awful pitch. The players dug in and did what they had to. Yes, it was difficult to watch especially second half and I wanted them to get a second goal to kill Morecambe off, but a win is a win. Personally I thought Street had a great game for what he did.

If there are anybody who doesn’t believe we deserved to win that then they need to pack in watching football.

Missing easy chances, the midfield being nowhere near 2nd balls and being so needlessly wasteful in possession may well cost us promotion. But we deserved to win that. Morecambe offered nothing.

Our crossing though….. it makes me want to rip my hair out the amount of times somebody (mainly Sterry) has time to cross the ball and it goes that far away from any Rovers player it’s unreal. It’s either that or it’s crossed into the first player. It is beyond annoying even if we do score from a few.

Not too downhearted about that. Dug in for a win. Yes, we should have had more to show in terms of goals, but f**k it, points on the board and back to winning ways on the copacabana del morecambe.

I was happy with that performance. From a defending point of view, effort and commitment throughout the team.

Hound mate, come on, we've been waiting for this team to click for months now.
They still look like a team that's just met.

Hardly been free flowing for any part of the season. We've been bumbling our way through this season.

We were really good tonight admittedly against a poor team (whatever Grant says in his interview). Should have been out of sight before the sending off but judge teams on the chances they create not necessarily how many they take. And then when the chips were down we defended manfully.

I think the question comes if we have to scrap it out in the play-offs?

Hard watch tonight, but taking the positives from it I thought the effort, workrate, & determination was miles better than Saturday, & picking up second balls in the first half. This should all be a given from now to the end of the season, no excuses.

Also thought playing Street in the number 9 role gave us something we've lacked all season, gave defenders problems getting in behind, & his hold up play was excellent. The run he made from Broadbents excellent pass was refreshing to watch. If we get players like Mollyneux in & around him, we might just put a run together at the right time. Hard fought 3 points tonight, onto the next.

Oh I agree that we haven’t had many really good performances but i was saying basically that fans of other teams will be saying the same.
Notts fans will be distraught tonight after only drawing with Colchester.
I think we are chopping and changing the team too much but tonight I think Street might have shown that he could be this seasons Adelakun.

Colchester were far better than Morecambe when we played them on an equally bad pitch and the quality from both sides then was better than tonight.

It was a dreadful game to watch.

We totally dominated the first 30 minutes tonight and really should have been out of sight by half time.
This is my concern, that we rarely put teams to the sword when we are on top.

A very different second half and Morecambe posed more of a danger but they never really looked like scoring.
I was very pleased with the way we dug in and particularly the way we fought and defended, especially when we were down to ten men.
Much more effort and tenacity than we showed on Saturday.

I’ll take that win. It might have only been 1-0 but it was an important and well-earned victory.

On we go to Accrington.

Some of you lot need to do something else with your time. Tonight I thought we were great against a team fighting for their lives on a dreadful pitch. Winning games like that are what get teams promoted, should’ve been 3/4 nil comfortably. Great performance

Street offering way more than Sharp and Ironside, a massive 3 points towards promotion, winning on an absolute horror pitch away from home whilst we had 10 men for half of the second half.

Lighten up lads!

Street gets in positions to score which never happens with Ironside and Sharp. At least Ironside usually holds the ball up well. Not sure what Sharp contributes any more.

Street is Ironside but with pace and looks like scoring more

He can shift for a big lad , absolutely terrified the life out of there defence and ran them ragged early doors and made chances for himself getting in behind which is something we've been missing, If he was a prolific finisher we wouldn't have him on loan so can't complain
