That's terrible news if true, never like to hear that sort of news about any sports player, I hope it's just an over reaction to a bad injury and wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

I remember clearly being at Torquay when Ian Measham broke his neck after Chris Swailes landed on him. You could hear the crack all around the ground, it was a horrible noise. Fortunately Ian made a recovery over time even getting back to playing. However retired shortly after which was probably the right thing.
