Failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy semis after losing to Afghanistan today.Their sixth ODI loss on the trot.
I watched the whole match and only Joe Root emerged with any credit.
The whole team needs a proper shake up.
Buttler is a shadow of the player he was a couple of years ago, needs to step down as Captain and Archer is living on past glories.

Our bowling attack is powder puff, our big hitting batters fail all the time

Joss Buttler isn’t the player that media have built him up to be, also he’s not a very good captain

In game management is absolutely awful and it’s all because of the culture (or should that be cult) of Bazball. Holed out with a daft shot? Don’t worry about it, come and have a beer and we can not talk about it over a round of golf tomorrow. Vibes CC. Hakuna Matata. And then just come back and try to go even bigger next time because it’s what the fans want to see*. There are some positives to the environment that’s been built and there will continue to be some hugely entertaining matches but ultimately we’ll lose more than we win because we’re just not a serious cricket team any more.

*not this fan

They treat every match as if it's a T20. No discipline or leadership and tactically naive.

I'm not a cricket fan but should we even be playing against a country whose regime has banned all women from participation?

England’s men’s & women’s teams have lost 16 out of 17 games in 2025.

Cricket's been played for 200 odd years. You might have thought folk would have worked out by now how to play the game....
