I said and thought when I saw the make up of the team we will be lucky to get away with it. the disappointment was that we got ourselves into a good position, but when you start a game with bits and pieces at the back, and just one good defender in the back line in Anderson it's not surprising when you get found out.
The sad thing is we have two excellent young defenders who can and have played right across the back line playing that well other clubs are watching them in more numbers every week  out on loan, two points thrown away.

They are getting game time though where at the minute they wouldn’t be here,no one could of envisioned us having all 4 1st choice defenders missing from the game before, even one or two you could still alter the positions of others and flint of Faulkner still wouldn’t of played

Wasn't necessarily heading in, and the number 20 is the one, if any playing him on. Hard to tell.

When you look at 18Dappers Vlog, you'll probs agree the lino got the call right after making some other very dodgy calls.

From my angle at the time it didn't think it was going in and Billy needed to touch it. Another factor was Billy being stood right in front of the keeper, so even then we've seen goals chalked off.

Billy wasn’t stood in front of the keeper Baz.

Donnievic, in any sport if you put square [egs in round holes results like today, and the run around our defence got are usually the result.
They are two of our best defenders and given the chance would play regular here and i think we would be a better team. I am entitled to have an opinion  and express it as far as I know and don't expect everyone to agree with me, but if we carry on with the inconsistency we will not reach the desired ending to the season.

At any point this season they haven’t Ben 2 or our best defenders though have they!!!!don’t get me wrong I like them both must admit not seen alot of flint but has impressed when played in few games he has,Faulkner for me is wot you call a old fashioned defender will the ball and get it cleared.both need game time that’s why they were sent out on loan rather than sit I the stands being 4 or 5 choice centre back aswell as then being able to play Bailey or senior there aswell so we had a lot of cover for them not to be sent out

Yes he was. The keeper touched him on the back as the ball was headed, then Billy moved to the side to glance the ball in.

Fair enough about the little push Baz but I was saying that Billy wasn’t stood in front of the keeper, in that the ball was coming from the corner and therefore from that angle he was stood sideways on and not obstructing the keepers view.
Whichever way we view that position though, Billy touched ball over the line and was offside.
At the game we hadn’t noticed the final touch and wondered why the goal was ruled out after Ando had headed it goalwards.

Billy knew he had touched it and was offside, hence the glance at the lino after he scored

Yes he did.
Quite ironic that he should have put the ball in the net at Bromley, but didn’t and then against Swindon he shouldn’t have put the ball in the net, but did.
Someone said to me this morning, he is costing us points.

Our defenders were not given the run-around and we did not drop 2 points just because Bobby Faulkner wasn’t playing.

Just my opinion of course.

The lino really did have a bad game.
I’m sure there was an occasion where a clear throw-in to Swindon was wrongly awarded to Rovers.

He gave a goal kick to Swindon when it was clear the keeper pushed it round the post.

Molyneux bursts past their defender (again) and he flags him offside when he was 2 yards onside when the ball was played.

2 or 3 times he completely missed the ball going over the line for a throw-in.

A complete incompetent!

All true Alan and a good summary of his performance.

I thought the 1st one you said actually came back of tin streets chest but overall I do think he was poor but got the disallowed goal correct where about 4000 others thought he was wrong
