Can anyone please give me the lyrics of the Rob Street song, that goes to the tune of Manfred Mann's "Do wah diddy".

Then me and the grandson can sing it to the TV screen on Saturday.

I think it's something like:
Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do
Going past defenders, scoring one or two
He looks good, he looks fine
Rob Street is on my mind
And he's Rovers' number 9

Not the most rousing anthem is it?
And just to warn you Scawsby, they sing it at 78rpm so you and your Grandson will have to take a deep breath then sing like the clappers to keep up!

I get why that song was plucked for – he wears number nine – but annoyingly 'Rob Street' doesn't fit the lyrics, it's a syllable too short. Don't suppose he goes by Robert?

After his goals against Newport I found myself wandering round the house singing...
'Rob Street, Rob Street, Rob Street, Rob Street,
I really love your striker feet'

...I reckon it fits much better, but then I'm in my kitchen not the South Stand.

If you’re grandson wants to practice just search for ‘Harry Kane’s on my mind’ on YouTube, same tune different name obviously, but he’ll get his timings/rhythm
