Mmm, perhaps Adelakun might get to play against us if we play Salford at a later date.

Even if we miss a couple of players, I’d say it’s worth playing them without Haks.
I hope we don’t request the call off.

And the away end will be better on a Saturday afternoon than a Tuesday night.

I would pay this one. Kelly been suspended lately. Crew hasn’t been starting. Put Lawlor in. What happens if TSL got injured, Lawlor needs to be match ready.
This is why we have a big squad. Salford aren’t in great form and Adulekan will be missing.
I say go and play this game. It will also make a statement that we can play with 3 internationals missing if TSL is called up

I was with you until you said "put Lawlor in" and I felt a shiver of realisation go down my spine. But yes, I am in the "play it" camp.

I know about Lawlor. But  he is there for a reason and if TSL does get injured at some point we will have to rely on him.

Got to Laugh, a Division 4 (the dreadful league according to many) postponed due to international call ups. reall, whatever next?
I’m pretty sure we can manage without a couple of young uns, and I doubt Lawler would let us down that badly.

Need to show the league we have players of our own to play this game and not postpone it for 3 loan players

If it’s your 1st choice goalkeeper any team can ask for a postponement even if no other players are called up. Nick Townsend of Newport is an international goalkeeper for Antigua & Barbuda, so they can apply this rule if they want to

One way of saying I don't trust you in goal. The other 2 have done nothing all season. What a shambles.

Hmm I reckon we’ve a couple of defenders injured and he’s keen to push it back.
Tom Nixon has done the pre-match interview ahead of tomorrow.

Now Adelakun has become available I think I am in the camp of 'postpone is good', especially if one or two are carrying knocks.

A lad I’m my gym in Bradford today said the Grant wants to restrict City to 1,500 tickets when they play us as he doesn’t want a packed away end. If true it makes us look frightened of them.
I wonder if it will change if we are still in the top three and have a buffer to the play off pack?

Surely you always want to play your strongest team? If you are going to be missing your first-choice goalkeeper and you have the chance to wait til he is available, why wouldn't you take it?

It's not a shambles at all.
Why should Grant voluntarily play this game without his 1st choice 'keeper?
And without 2 key members of the first-team squad?

Every game between now and the end of the season is vital. It's hard enough plotting your way through these fixtures with injuries / suspensions. To volunteer to play a match with 3 first-teamers missing would be daft.

Yes, it's irritating to have a fixture postponed at short notice and it will inconvenience many supporters.
But Grant has to do everything possible to get us over the line, so this decision is perfectly understandable.

Also, as mentioned by roversdude, a big congratulations to TSL on his selection. He will be buzzing, I'm sure. And credit to Rovers for getting him into the position to be selected.

If we're up the top in the battle then we'd probably need to restrict away tickets.

More a case of he hasn't faith in the  midfield dept,  he has no faith in the replacements that would take the place of the replacements that were signed and will be missing.

TSL has started all season in the league, the other loan lads who are away on international duty have not been automatic starters, even though they are and will be very good players. In fact those two lads have missed out on being in the match day squad a couple of times

I've never understood this rule from the FA. If you've a squad virtually wiped out with injuries, and apply for a postponement, you've not a chance. It once happened to us when O' Driscoll tried; and was the reason why Bolton, with a team full of kids, illegally called their game off with us, because they knew the FA would knock them back.

Yet when just 3 f*cking players are called up for p*sspot international friendlies, games get called off. Madness.

Think that was the Ipswich Town game at home when we go annihilated either 5-0 or 6-0.
