Very much second best that half. TSL keeping the score to 1-0. Not one decent effort on goal from us.

Terrible 1st half. We don't look like a team fighting for points to gain auto promotion!!

Sterry sorely missed. Nixon prefers the back pass.

Gibson's having a shocker, fallen over his shadow 3 times. And there's no sun.

Midfield has been the obvious weak link all season and never been addressed.

Unless we get it right in front of goal the team which is not as good as last season at this time will start sliding. The left side been average if not poor all season. Midfield not good enough the young lads we have brought in was the wrong decision.

Pathetic first half, I hope bollockings are being dished out right now, that was simply not good enough

Missing Olowu’s guile, calmness and pace at the back.

You are going to have to earn your money this half Grant.

We need to get at least a point from this game, which will be a great result based on how bad we've been 1st half!

Just to go back again to a point we have discussed over and over again about the shit refs we get.
Crewe got a free kick right on 45 minutes and one minute of added on time is announced.
Thirty five seconds of that minute pass before the free kick is taken even the commentator says that the minute will start from now (when the free kick is taken) but as usual the half time whistle went right on 46 minutes.
I know that isn’t why we are behind but it really pisses me off about how teams waste time and get away with it.

Poor game so far - Crewe are not great either.  I would like to see an injection into the middle of the park.  Would pull Gibson and Broadbent and stick Crew and Kelly on..

We’re playing with 10 men. Again!!!! How the hell have we got to a point where we have a binary choice between Clifton or Sbarra? They’re both rotten and offer us zip.
The sky commentator said at the start of the match that Clifton returns today in the playmaker role. I spat me tea all over the dog!! I don’t know what he is but he ain’t that.
Need to get Kelly on in that position now. Best of a bad job really

Again, my mate's assessment of the first half after watching it. "Well that was absolutely dismal. Rovers showing all their inadequacies again. Poor set play, attacking and defending. No wing play, no midfield possession. Street not aware enough and getting caught offside too often. If it wasn’t for Sharman it would have been 3-0. I can’t see Rovers winning this one going on what’s happened in similar games this season. "

These are the games we need to get something out of if we are to avoid the play offs.

The disappointing thing for me this season is the way we have overly relied on the long ball. Yes we get the odd goal via it but I’d much rather see us play through midfield. The continuous reliance on the long ball virtually every game just illustrates our lack of ability in midfield. We have just not addressed it since last season.

Don't give Crewe more time to score! I'm glad they have come off, maybe GM can change things, but I am not too sure he has the personnel to do that.

It was bad enough to make changes at half time. No control of the midfield, the defence looks very dodgy. I would get Ironside and Sharp on and push Street wide.

Three free kicks we've played a high line from & they've scored easily from 1 of them. Who is actually coaching this in training? Does Grant have a big say in this or does he just leave it to his staff. We look miles off a promotion seeking team, in fact we just don't look like a team at all, so predictable to play against. Crewe had the ball out wide & committed 6 players into the box, we however get the ball wide to our centre forward, & committed zero. Massive improvement needed this half.
