TBH, I hope he is injured (that doesn't sound right either, you know what I mean!) and it has nothing to do with contracts, he is a superb player for us, contracts need to be sorted soon for him.

I’m sure he’d injured. Doesn’t strike me as the sort of character to refuse to play in a (potential promotion winning) run-in when his stock is at its highest as he had a move in the bag. I think it’s more likely he would do a Whiteman to ensure we get a fee. I guess that’s as much down to his agent advising him though.

Olowu did not appear to be at the ground neither was Ironside. McGrath and Maxwell were walking round the pitch but it appeared and I could be wrong that McGrath had a slight limp. Also Will Flint has been recalled from Darlington and he was walking round the ground Defender/ defensive midfield.

Just seen Free press article which confirms Joe will be out for the rest of the season and he’s had an operation could be out for 14 weeks
He has turned down an offer but rovers are going back with a second one and hope to have him tied down before the season end.
Joe Ironside had a operation for a double hernia Thursday will be out but hopefully available for last few games.

He was absolutely dreadful for a long time. Amazed Rovers stuck with him. Then Wrexham turned up and since then he’s got better and better. But one good season? Really?, ( due to a lot of input from staff , Woody????? Etc) and he’s off.
Well I hope his new club can wait several seasons until he’s decent.

I spoke to a club about Olowu recently.
EPL club that are brilliant at recruiting players. Basically told me they don’t think he’s a very top end L1/ Champ player.

That’s not to say he definitely isn’t but just doesn’t fit their model criteria for that level. It’s difficult to argue with what they say after their record of success.
