Sterry’s control of Luke’s cross was even better than the shot

Thing is, as uninspiring as this all sounds, should we nick a winner and Port Vale beat Walsall, we would be 3 points off top spot with a game in hand by the end of today’s fixtures..

Exactly, easy to underestimate how well Sterry did with controlling that pass to give himself the chance to shoot

I'm sure when I checked the table before the match Rovers were on 68 points. The table now shows Rovers on 70 points, am I mistaken?

Relief all round there, the final result is definitely flattering. Next week has to be at a far higher level of performance.

It showed 68 when the score was 0-0, 67 before KO..

what sort of impact does that have on us? Can we still catch them?

Being pedantic, no, it doesn’t, as long as we get a decent result..

Wonder if there was a little handball  from Sterry bringing it under control?

We are now only one point less than where we finished last season, with 6 more games to go..

Definitely in this, it’s there for the taking.

Plus, alongside Notts Co and Chesterfield, we are the joint second highest scorers.

What a time for Jamie Sterry to finally get his first goal!

2-0 flattered us but I don’t care.

Not sure it did flatter us actually - yes the goals were late but there was the stonewall penalty not given, hit post with keeper beaten, Ironside miss of the season

It took our right back to finally hit a shot that didn’t fly over the bar!

I’m liking the look of that league table right now.

Agree we should have killed it off long before we did, controlled the game mostly. But I massively thought we were gonna have another of those days.

7pts from 3 is good, can't grumble.

Agreed Dutch, but I was thinking more about the overall game, especially with Cheltenham down to 10 men.
