Goal difference

Great so far but we need to push on and close that goal difference, it could be crucial come the end of the season.

Better than Port Vale at the minute.

It’s harsh to be critical after a 3-0 win, but we could have had a couple more goals late in the game, which may be important in the final outcome.

Everyone was trying to score themselves rather than picking a pass to someone in a better position.

Yep but I suppose you can't blame them that's what they are paid to do

well yes and no- they are paid to ensure the team wins - some composure and use of brains would have seen us win by 6 or 7 today.

I agree it is harsh to be critical after a 3 nil away from home win but I do wish they wouldn't do this fannying around in the corner thing, it invariably seems to end up with losing possession anyway and it would be far better to get a cross in for an extra goal chance, especially in the dying stages when the oppo defence is knackered.

It’s a team game though.
We had three chances to score in the five minutes add on time but fluffed all of them.

If you have to waste or miss a chance do it when you are 3 up not drawing or losing. We might have saved some goals for Monday hopefully.

At one point today there was a 5 goal swing in rovers favour against PV.
It was quite an afternoon watching the updates come through from the key games .

Well the Grimsby result and goal swing effectively means we’re guaranteed a play off spot

I’ve said for a couple of months now that 80 points will get us promoted.
5 points needed from 3 games, it’ll almost certainly be less than 80 now, if we’re sat on 78 points on Monday evening I reckon we’re there
