What a signing he has been added another dimension to our attack

Lincoln will finish mid table. They’ll look at Rob Street’s contribution while he’s been with us & probably think ‘Without his goals they wouldn’t be anywhere near automatic promotion, time to have him back in the fold unless Donny offer serious money for him’.

£400k as daft as it might seem, I don’t think would be regarded as ‘serious money’ by Lincoln.

£500,000+ even including ‘add ons’ would blow a massive hole in our transfer budget next season should we go up.

Bailey apart, we can’t compete midfield wise at a higher level with the personnel we currently have so you’re looking for at least two quality players there.

But yes, we do need a ‘Rob Street or two’ yet to be ‘discovered’.

Street was excellent again today.

There's not many centre forwards at this level who combine the physicality to go toe-to-toe with centre halves, and the nous and speed to make runs across and through the back line. He's doing that every week.

At times he looks exactly what he is, a level above.

Excellent again today. We’d be lost without him, he’s literally our only striker at the moment.
Stay fit Rob, for heavens sake.

He’s been brilliant. The profile of player that we need to be identifying and signing. Ideally at the stage that Cheltenham / Lincoln identified and signed him. Could be costly now but he’s at an age where he can improve further.

Just typed "Street Value" into Google and apparently, he's worth a bob or two because of the speed he possesses.

I said a while back on a different forum, if we could work out a deal to keep Rob Street I'd go all out for it.
His pace and physicality must make him a nightmare for defenders. He seems to be loving his time with us as well.

As much of a fan of Ironside I am , Streets light-years ahead. He can tussle with the defenders but also can get in behind with pace and power. Almost like Sharp & Ironside combined in some respects.

Superb. Played a part in Mols free kick going straight in, great run for winning the pen and great run and pass to Kelly for the third. I feel he really wants this promotion as much as anyone. His last 2 performances have gone up a level. If we get players closer to him I’d fancy us to score more.

He’s made a massive impact since signing. Wonder if we tried to sign him in the summer when he joined Lincoln.

He's been fantastic but we'd have to blow our budget to sign him on a permo. We'd need at least six lg1 signings if we go up.

I would be very, very surprised if we bought Street. Probably go as far as not a chance unless TB has just found a bit of spare down the back of the sofa

Let's get the job done first.

Second, none of us know what release clause is in his contract so it doesn't matter how much we think he's worth. If the club is willing to pay the amount that triggers the release, then they can talk.

Third. Rob Street would have to want to come.

Fourth. Other clubs might come sniffing.

I think he came here with something to prove and looks like he has proven that he’s above L2. Does he want to return to Lincoln where he wasn’t getting games, or are his sight set on another club?
Sure he’s young and looks like there’s every chance he can improve, so would a championship club take a risk?
In 2023 palace did offer him a new contract, so they must have considered he would improve with more game time. At start of this season Lincoln gave him a 4 year deal for undisclosed fee.

Of all previous clubs, so far he’s had the most game time and highest goal ratio with us, so he must be happy with that.

Can’t see us offering a fee anywhere near what’s been suggested, so going to be tricky. Are we still in a position where we are prevented from offering large fees?

Would love to sign him but if we go up but wouldn’t be spending crazy money at the risk of improving other areas. We know our midfield is quite weak even in L2 so there is a lot of investment there.

If we go up we’ll be shopping in a better market so there is gulf in class between Street at 500k and others on a free won’t be as big as it is currently.

Lincoln may have plans which require selling which makes it more realistic. If they want him in their squad we won’t be able to offer the kind of money to make them sell.

There aren’t many strikers available to Championship/ League One clubs who are both tall, physical and mobile in England.
Lincoln would be absolutely mad to sell him for 500k, because if he proves himself in league one they can sell him on for millions.
Their model is selling on for profit, but not to clubs currently beneath them like us.
He’s a little bit younger, but Wycombe had an offer of £6m for Kone this season for example.
Peterborough sold Ivan Toney for an initial £5m to Brentford after he got L1 player of the season.

Not a chance we’ve got of signing him but what a striker.

If he comes in and fires us up then the situation has worked well for everyone involved.

It’s hard to rationalise street being worth millions and molyneux being worth a few hundred grand

Street is younger so perhaps could have a higher value as a buyer has more time for a decent return on their investment.

He couldn't get a start at Lincoln and until recently he was a reserve for us, now all of a sudden he is almost priceless on the back of a hand full of goals against tired and weak opposition at the end of the sesson. A bit of over hyping going on here.

Whoever profiled him deserves big credit. Not like he was proven elsewhere but he's exactly the striker we needed. Copps, GM and Cliff, well done.

He played out wide for different clubs like he started here. Grant put him down the middle and thats where he came alight.
