Three draws alongside the six defeats. There is hope!

Means nowt.

Kettle was one of the most irritatingly w**kerish refs we’ve ever seen, yet we got decent results with him on the field.

Yes but it's a bitter sweet irony

Sweet that he finally Refereed a game (his 10th attempt !) and we WON . So he has now got a record after 1 win 3 draws 6 losses

The bitter is let's face it he was dreadful. Not from the start but gradually he got worse.

I'm convinced he didn't realize he had Carded the 21 who then went in really late on Bailey and wasn't going to bother doing anything till the crowd forced him into it

Then he reluctantly pulled the Yellow and got ready to restart before "someone" must have said 2Y=1R and off he went

And even more bizarrely the Sterry challenge late on NW corner resulted in a Goal kick been given by Ref

Their bloke jumps up , appeals to Ref , and Ref changes his mind and gives them a Free kick.

So yeah , bitter sweet.

I thought he was one of the better ones from recent weeks. At least he tried to let the game flow.

The funniest thing today was Colchester's prick of a keeper. Started timewasting in the 2nd minute. At 2-0 down he suddenly seemed to find another 3 gears.

Agree on keeper for sure. I hope people noticed he managed to miss a ball rolled to him by Ball boy in first five minutes.

That GK took over 40 seconds but at least it was to no avail

Strange that when teams are losing their keepers never do the “I’m injured” sit down..

The weirdest bit today was when their guy shot over the bar. I don't think it would've stood. There was a foul on Anderson and the linesman didn't flag but was indicating to put defence he saw it.  Then the referee and him clearly chatting signalled to him to be waving his flag. Utterly weird.

He got the red right it was a second yellow but he blew for any contact.

The senior yellow was very harsh.

I was on the East stand but Senior clearly just got in their man’s way and grabbed him. Fair yellow for me. Their 14 should have had one for a bad tackle on Broadbent. No idea how he never gave that
