TSL

What do we think will happen next year? Would he come back? Has he progressed enough? Who could replace realistically

I'd be happy to have him again

I imagine TLT will be available for a league one club...If we do get up I'd guess McCann will go and ask for TLT.

I may be crazy but I actually think TSL will be a better goalkeeper long term than TLT. He's improving so much week by week.

If we get TSL it would obviously be another loan but TLT might be an option to sign as our player which might be better as a longer term option.
They are both very good keepers and I agree that TSL has been getting better as the season has gone on.

I think so too but as McCann hinted, there's no way we're getting him permanent given he's probably on more than our entire squad put together!

I'd have him on loan again next season but if we could get TLT on a three year deal or something, it's a no brainer surely?

I think he's been decent for us (TSL) and would gladly have another loan next year. if we could get TLT - or any decent perm keeper - that would be the preference so we're not playing loan-roulette for a keeper every year and get some consistency in the team / understanding with back-four.

I can’t pick any specific names, but there must be a reasonable amount of goalkeeping talent available?

Of course, we know these two and I’d be happy with either, but there’s bound to be others who would do a decent job.?

His improvement has been great to see. Even if some couldn't see beyond a relatively raw young lad, he's developed as these loans are designed to do. He recently made his debut for England u21s so clearly he's being noticed at elite level. I doubt he'll want to compromise his pathway to the top level so the best we could hope for is Chelsea seeing a step up to League One as a natural step up.

I'm not in the camp that thinks we need a permanent first choice keeper, with all the keepers at higher ranked clubs out there either bench warming or in development squads.

We've just got to finish the job off and make some players difficult decisions a bit easier.

Everyone will be going on about TLT until September, but he’s 22 with another 3 years in his contract. He’d cost a bomb.

Isn’t TSL out of contract in the summer ?

TSL is very good at distribution and is very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Good under the high ball as well. TLT was a better shot stopper though in my view.

I believe so. May still require a fee due to being under 24.

Nathan Baxter’s contract at Bolton is expiring.

Played under McCann at Hull.
