Shortlist was Andy Woodman (Bromley), Graham Alexander (Bradford City), Darren Moore (Port Vale) and Mat Sadler (Walsall).

Maybe GM wasn’t shortlisted because they all knew he would have won hands down.? :scarf:

Judged by a "panel of leading experts from the football industry and stakeholders".

Probably voted on a while ago when Bradford were looking nailed on for the autos. Feel like we always get overlooked at these things anyway. Pub team having a laugh, lifting the trophy next weekend is all the recognition we need anyway.

It is the EFL who should be embarrassed not Alexander. But should we be surprised by anything the EFL does?

That's all actually very funny.

Giving Manager of the Season to a boss who may well lose out on promotion through making the most elementary mistake imaginable in how he set his team up against us. Twice.

I personally thought it should of gone to woodman, what he has done with bromley has been brilliant.

Embarrassing - Woodman would have got my vote for what it’s worth

But why put Woodman on the list and leave off McCann? Moore is on it, for example, and that’s right and proper, but come on EFL - this just makes you (and your so-called experts) look absolutely stupid.

Get the feeling they don’t like DRFC. Never mind. We all know what should have happened

Not Alexander’s fault for winning it, but what a bizarre system. Both Bradford and Port Vale will have been managed on bigger playing budgets than ours. Well done to McCann for getting us punching above our weight. When you throw in MK Dons and likely Notts County too then we’ve done well haven’t we.

Its crazy! Its a 46 game season and they are nominating based 30 games! If Bradford fail it will be embarrassing

I spent 20 minutes reading the Walsall fans' forum yesterday, following their home defeat to Accy Stanley.
Not for the faint-hearted!
Judging by every single post on there, Mat Sadler ought to think about going into hiding in case he gets lynched!

The fact that he made the short-list for manager of the season and Grant didn't, really shows how ridiculous and farcical these awards are.

Sadler has presided over arguably the worst capitulation in League 2 history. From a seemingly unassailable lead of 13 points at the top of the table in January, he has managed a collapse of biblical proportions.
While Rovers have garnered 41 points over the last 20 games, Walsall have mustered just 16; that's relegation form for nearly half of the season.

And just last week he said "We are where we want to be".
That went down like a lead balloon with the fans.

But yeah, let's short-list him for Manager of the Season eh?

Graham Alexander got the vote

He was one match off getting the sack I think it was at match 20 and some of you on here were looking forwar dto it. I laid them at 120/1 for the title and 100/1  for the odd pound -  as I said when they won at Carlisle - my alarm bells started to ring about them - and 25/1 for the title was ridiculously good - they were a lot of doubters about them FOR ONCE Bookmakers included - because they had failed so many times  - they even went odds on and screwed it up
