Heard all the players are going away to celebrare together this week so that could be a big reason why.

Do you mean they are going on a pub crawl in another city, because they are banned from all the Donny pubs.
Some great pictures of the appearing with the fan round town again last night, think a few will have thick heads this morning, including Grant.
Great guys to celebrate so much with their fans.

The one in 2013 at the ground was because it wasn't allowed at Brentford that day.
You mean the one that took place to allow over 5,000 inside the stadium that was arranged at very short notice,  we hadn't won the league until the last minute so it's been done before,  sounds to me like it's already been accepted as happening at a much later inappropriate date, maybe that's why T.Bramall had hold of the trophy soon as possible
It cannot be a politican led event

A civic reception is a local political event isn’t it

How will players that have or will be told that they won’t feature next season will feel about going? What about the loan players? They might not be available either.

Ross Jones on X
Not only promoted but champions of the fourth tier for their fourth time in their history.
84 points and their first league title since 2013.
Civic reception and open top bus tour will be extra special, watch this space for detalls, but it will be in June / July as a lot of players will be on holiday in May.

Seems any celebratory trophy parade is  delayed to an inappropriate time due to tomorrow being inconvenient for the politician.
V.E day tomorrow, other events already committed to by the  elected Mayor.

Did you miss my word referring to politician LED?

Have I missed something? Where's it been said it was supposed to be tomorrow?

Only me and a lot of others saying that would be better than delaying until a more inappropriate time

So it wasn't supposed to be tomorrow then.

This is really simple:

Do it soon or don’t bother, and keep politics out of it.

Who'd believe we've managed to create a negative out of what should be very much a positive!

If not done within 2 weeks of the end of season then just leave it and let’s concentrate on getting the players and staff some much needed rest and relaxation ready for a another exciting season once again in league one

How about the players all go to Donny fest, go on stage and celebrate there.

Players must have all booked their holidays last Sunday. No chance they've booked holidays for May knowing we could have been in the playoffs

They would have had to plan taking into account the play off dates

The elected Mayor is already committed  to V.E. events taking place tomorrow afternoon in the market place, no doubt followed by a meeting at Mansion House.
Club could've opened the stadium for a trophy parade celebration as in 2013 though.

Bradford are having theirs on Tuesday. If it's not next weekend or earlier there's no point in the bus.

Let’s remember the fallen and the ones that made our lives it is today.
I’m an ex serviceman that appreciates what the ones did before. Let’s celebrate VE 80th anniversary first and for most.
When the trophy celebration is, let’s celebrate that too

At least they’re doing something, sadly I won’t be there as I don’t finish work until 6pm

It's a good shout from the club, reckon half past would be better though with most finishing work at 5 then having to travel there.

Bradford City have open top bus parade tomorrow although that starts at 7pm but it is on working day. Maybe they could adjust the time say an hour later to assist supports who are working

That's what longer daylight is for,  enables a bit more time for those with children to sort out too
