Was looking at some old comments on others' forums. I had to blink when I saw two clubs both say that we were 'the best team to visit VP this season'Then I remembered the names of Bradford and Port Vale's grounds, and yes that was indeed two very good away performances by us.

I thought we were great at Bradford. Not so much Vale, despite the result.

The Bradford match was a perfect example of how dangerous we are when a side presses us high up the pitch and gives us space to hit them hard and fast on the counter. It gives me a lot of hope for next season, when I expect a lot of sides to dominate possession against us and press us in our half. Get the midfield playing the ball quickly and accurately on the counter, and a Street type player up top to make runs through the defence and I think we could be a big force. That's what Moore had us doing in 2020. We looked regularly under pressure, then bang-bang-bang, we cut through a side rapidly and scored. That depended greatly on Whiteman's passing (and defensive authority), Taylor-Richards carrying the ball forward quickly, and Okenebirhie's runs. McCann has said numerous times that he sees Broadband maturing into a Whiteman-type player, but the other two positions are going to be key. And hopefully Molyneux and Gibson giving us other options.

If Broadband gives us trouble, we just take him off and put him back on!?
