it's Welcome to Luton not Hull
« on May 03, 2025, 02:01:54 pm by Colemans Left Hook »
With Luton 5-1 down & counting  if we are going for promotion-playoffs next season it's better not to have a team who i reckon would win the league with as many points as Birmingham in the division.

My contingency plan was to back Hull and their Turkish millions asap.

Does anybody like Luton - I have only been there once when a Malcolm MacDonald hat-trick murdered us 4-0. I actually knew the Luton Supporter.

so Hull are staying up

To say they had scraped an escape from relegation, their fans looked glum at Trowell Services tonight. A few chants of Seles Out

Will Luton still be receiving parachute payments? If so that's a huge difference in league 1

They will get 45% of the EPL TV money share which all EPL clubs receive next season. That will be their final parachute payment though as they were only in the Prem for 1 season. I'm estimating it to be about £35m

They were very sensible during the EPL season and left with a significant budget surplus, which you would assume they probably turned again this season. While they do have to pay for their new stadium, they are not in financial dire straits. You would have to imagine they will be a real force next season in League One. Another well resourced club at our new level.

I think Wigan were the last  club to play L1 with PL parachute money.
