Broadbent for me. Grant had faith and boy has he stepped up. Hard choice. So many could have had it

Street had the biggest impact, albeit over half a season. Arguably we could have just about coped without any of the above, excluding Moly, but Street’s goals have got us over the line.

I would need three votes to feel like I had done them justice.

Would anyone be disappointed if one of maybe 4 or even 5 won ?

Over the season, probably Bails or Sterry, but Bails deserves everything, sweated blood for us.

Interesting choice to put McGrath and Olowu in the vote and not Broadbandt/Street who I think would be contenders for 2nd behind the only choice it can be, Moly.

Can’t get my head around a couple of the shouts here. Tom Anderson has only started about half of our games. George Broadbent not much more than that and it’s only in the last dozen or so games (if that) that he’s started to get any recognition. Both have been excellent lately but it’s player of the season, not player of the run in.

I’d also put both Street & Bailey above McGrath for this poll. Moly for me, though - 16 goals, 12 assists and never less than 100% effort.

Although street had a really impressive loan, molly has been the star of the season for me. Goals and assists, best in the league.

Thought sterry really kicked on this season his improvement in form was very noticeable leading up to him signing his new contract.

Got to be Molyneux for all round contribution. Would be a travesty to give it to anyone else just for the sake of not giving it to Molyneux

Don't think that's fair at all. It's open to interpretation what 'player' means here, obviously. But for me I would look for effect and impact - and those two players have had a prolonged impact on us winning the title. If there wasn't Moly, player of the season would then just mean the most consistent, which to me is not really what's being asked here.

Anyway, there is a Moly and it's obviously him.

It was hard to pick names, hence the other category.   I picked mcgrath as I see him and olowu basically as a unit, and didnt pick street as he's only been here half a season. But deffo worth a shout..

Without a doubt Sterry is our most improved player this season but Mols goal tally and assists can't be ignored.

Toss up between Mols and Street, I’m sure it would have to go to Street if he’d been with us for the full season, he’s Quality, but for his all round performances it’s Mols by a short head

Bailey should be on the list. Rave reviews for Broadbent since Christmas. Bailey been much better IMO.

The difference that Molyneux’s goal contributions have made are such that it surely has to be him. But Owen Bailey simply has to be in the conversation. He’s so consistent. Superb signing.

For me Mols has delivered in a big way this season and deserves the recognition.

For consistency, Olowu was my pick and just a pity he got injured.

Most improved over the season is a close one between Broadbent and Sterry.

Bailey is Captain Marvel, our Bobby Moore but he had his struggles in the first half of the season. Wasn't as effective as last season and I was beginning to wonder if the captaincy was affecting his form. Thankfully, over this last dozen games he really got going plus his shift to centre half was a big factor in keeping things tight at the back together with big Tom, the real warrior.

It's not very often true leaders of men emerge, often captains being mere token gestures but he's up there with Rob Jones and Ben Whiteman who commanded and earned total respect from their teammates. He has that X Factor that everyone loves and seems to bond with all the players, often being on the scene first to congratulate and encourage. He might not be the most technically gifted footballer but he makes up alot with his reading of the game and huge heart.

We've recently been better that we were previously.

If I was forced to vote it would probably be moly, however I would be reluctant to vote because it’s been a real team effort particularly since January.
This group of players and coaching team, have all made sure that all of us can’t wait for the next game, very different from recent years when many of us have questioned if we should attend games or find something else for our entertainment.

Again we have had the pleasure of watching some loan players in a rovers shirt, all have contributed to a fantastic team effort, can’t wait to see what Grant comes up with for next season, going to be a long summer break!

It doesn’t really feel open to interpretation for me in the same way that, say, “most improved player” would. There’s very little ambiguity for me with what “player of the season” means.

Officially, Moly has swept up. Player of the season, players’ player of the season, supporters’ player of the season and goal of the season.

There were a few on here questioning his form around Christmas, he did have a bit off a drop off but that's because he sets the bar high and goes about his business quietly but effectively.

I am surprised Sharman-Lowe isn’t in the conversation. Has really stepped up when needed and made some massive saves. I get he gets criticism but for me one of the best keepers we’ve had in years.

TSL’s improvement over the season has been amazing, he joined as a callow youth and left  as a man- he grew in confidence and, it seemed, physical stature.
