Season ticket sales.
« on May 06, 2025, 08:20:40 pm by Lincoln Rover »
Evening folks.
By way of an update for you all.
As of yesterday evening,  ST sales are presently in excess of 38% higher than the nearest corresponding date from this time last season.
It’s the best in terms of ST’s sold & revenue taken in, since  the last time we were in the championship. This all came out of our monthly meeting with the club at our shadow board surgery today. Good news.

Thanks for passing on this information.
It does show that the fans are really backing the team.

Be good if we could sell the south stand out and then be able to bump up matchday prices for it. When I say this it would basically mean being able to charge away fans a bit more and gain extra income there. Half the league will be fetching 1500+ next season. We are going to be one of the cheapest for away fans because of how cheap our prices are in the south stand

Padge. Match day prices were also discussed as part of the normal meeting. The increases we believe are very fair. We will let the club announce these shortly, as they have their dates in place.

What was last season's final amount? Very small that compared to the rest of the league. It's going to be tough.

I don't know and I don't have a list of other clubs numbers. Maybe you can share that with us?

This seasons League One average attendances. Based on ours this season, we'd be in 14th place.

We'll be 17th then based on the teams gone down. Tough make no bones about it. Add in we are cheaper than most, it's what Bramall wants to do now again as to our competitiveness

Yes, but our attendances this season are based on a LG2 away support, not a LG1 support, so we should be higher than that.

We had an average of 8,024 this last season. Add a thousand more (500 home and 500 away) and we are 13th. I reckon we might actually be a bit closer to Posh at 9,151.

That's right. So those with attendances around the 7,500 to 9000 mark were unlikely to have that many more season ticket holders than us. So in terms of competitive numbers, there's no reason we can't challenge some of those clubs income wise. Yes, we maybe one of the cheaper season ticket offerings but there's alot more to translating that into a competitive squad.  Having a good manager and staff with a good core of a squad is a good start.

Alot of ifs and buts.

The club do nothing in the way of marketing, really frustrating.

The social media presence is next to zero

I would imagine that we make a lot of money from sponsors, hiring out parts of the stadium, Club Doncaster activities etc. That along with an avg of around 8500 - 9000 should make us competitive enough in Lge 1.

The club do lots. Sensible season ticket prices. My lads mate has brought one for the new season. That’s a new one. I have but won’t get to many games.
Not everyone can afford season tickets and the extra matchday costs. There are a lot of exiles that can’t make every game.
There is a lot to consider going to a football match nowadays.
Football on the pitch is a great advert that generates interest when going well.
Also the opposite when it’s not.

Last season the final ST total was just shy of 5000.
It’s been around this figure for a few seasons along with average attendances . The club is still running on this figure and is stagnating growth and not generating more money for internal investment ie P.A System or refurbishment generally. Volunteers were asked to help open up last season as clearly not a lot was done prior .
L1 was used to be our basement level but having spent two seasons in L2 that’s now not the case as we always considered too good over all as a club to sink below this . But clearly L1 may well be our best bet as supporter generated income hasn’t grown much and expenditure will have . Ticket pricing has been appropriate to our circumstances but to push on up the leagues it has to change or will never compete or achieve the squad capable of a challenge any time soon ..

Obviously there’s is more to just hiring the stadium out for a concert etc…but when you have the likes of yungblud, and Louis Tomlinson both from Doncaster, ide imagine it would sell out, more revenue.love that boxing is being held there

Big difference is most clubs are selling 5k STs at over 100 quid a go more. It's great our pricing but the number of ST for the price if pretty poor I think.

I don’t get that argument at all.

It is what it is.  The club is obviously ok with the pricing and the volume of support, so why aren’t you.?

We can afford the cost of season tickets, but won’t be getting them as we don’t have the time available for other reasons, to go to enough games.
