I think a call from a club down south at a higher level than L2 will be very tempting for him, unfortunately. I’m just hoping our promotion will have swung the balance but I fully expect him to have been sorted out elsewhere. Happy to be pleasantly surprised though as I was last year with Molyneux. What a key re-signing that was.

He's from South London, his family are still there I believe.
We'll just have to cross our fingers & see what happens, hopefully he's loved it enough here for one more contract.

A very reliable source has told me that Hull City are interested in Olowu and possibly Molyneux. They are in serious debt though and, rumour has it, their owners have lost interest in the club since becoming shareholders at a club in Turkey.

He probably has his own idea of how to celebrate but it was notable he wasn’t involved with any of the tomfoolery in Doncaster pubs and bars the last few weeks. Maybe not his thing generally but he was the only senior player I think who didn’t make an appearance.

He was certainly there next to Gibson in one of the videos later on into the night. As you say he doesn’t give the impression that pubs and drinking are his scene, but he was there.

He did say in an interview at the league awards that the lads convinced him to go out after the Bradford game but that isn't usually his thing. Obviously not a drinker.

Must be a manager’s dream. Sounds like he is at church in his spare time. McCann is never getting a 4am call from the local nick to come and pick up Joe Olowu.

If he wasn't, me and our kid had a photo of us taken with his twin brother.

That would make a lot of sense, it’s his twin brother that’s played in Joe’s place since Wrexham at home, such has been the amazing improvement.
Do note though that we didn’t appear to be substantially weaker without him in the final run in which included a pleasant 4 wins on the bounce. Perhaps we have a strong negotiation position after that.

And how many professional footballers who don't drink in League two this season play for a team that finished above our team of rebels who had a drink after promotion?

RIS, it could well be a better negotiating position for us, but make other teams offers more attractive to him.
The time that has passed since we announced we had made an offer to Joe would indicate that he has also offers from at least another club if not more, or he would have signed by now.
The only other reason is that the offer is not to his liking and he thinks he can do better out of us.
My own take is the longer it drags on the more likely he is to go to another club and is just running his present contract down to June, and meantime his agent will be  networking for him to get the best offer wherever he can.
Another big question is, if he does resign which Joe will we get for the money?, the excellent player we had up to injury this last season, or the injury prone accident prone player we had for a few seasons before?

London is his home and although I live a million miles away from Donny I have mates who saw him out after the Bradford and Notts games.

Do fully expect him to leave though unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong, but he's been a level above for over a year now.

What I found most impressive is the team were given the ok to have a good celebratory sesh (well deserved), but after that it was back to business, they were straight back at it and took County apart, really professional. Notts County were the ones that looked like they’d been on the razzle.
Brilliant from the lads, they demonstrated the old saying….work hard, play hard.

Well he’s currently in Ibiza with the rest of the squad. Can’t deny or confirm if he is drinking or not though

Maybe a romantic attachment would keep him at Donny. Just a thought…
