Sorry if I've missed another thread on it already.
Nearly shed a tear reading that.

Thanks to RW for all his efforts whilst with us. Hope nothing but the best for whatever he does next.

Great servant to local clubs and won a few things in his time.

Glad we could help him finish on a high.

What a man. Speaks volumes with how highly he’s thought of by us, Rotherham & Wednesday!

A proper bloke.

What an incredible and touching message. He’s clearly put so much time, care and emotion into writing that. Literally the best message of its kind I have ever read. What a gent!

Great letter that and he’s a good man despite being a Miller. I’m pleased he finished as a champion

He told me this in the Sal after the Bradford game. Didn't want to say anything as it was his public announcement to make.

A fine player and a good man. Proper mester.

I feel like Paul Warne when he was at Rotherham wrote a similar kind of message to the Rotherham fans when he left, it was a brilliant and classy thing to do.
Woody is a top guy and knew it was coming, you could hear it in his voice when interviewed. I feel he has helped us beyond playing as with Billy.

I hope he finds a local club to get into coaching with (if not us) and enjoys his retirement from playing.

All the best Woody.

Proper old school Centre Half, as he says he knows his limitations but you would always want him on your side! It's just a shame he didn't get to play more games in the hoops and bag a goal. Many thanks Mr Wood it was a pleasure watching you over the last two seasons!

Interesting that he mentioned getting his first league title winners medal.
No wonder Copps said how brassed off him and the lads were after missing out under Ferguson.
At least Copps has finally got his L2 winners medal now.

Heard he's off back to Rotherham given his old teammate is now manager.

One of those players that nobody hates. He just went out did his job and seems like just a normal nice guy.

Good luck to him, he's earnt the recognition he gets and a shining example to youngsters too.

Sad that time caught up with him but was clear this season he can't do it anymore sadly.

Well done BST for keeping Woody’s counsel.

I’m really sorry that injury deprived us of seeing more of Woody these last two seasons.
It’s ironic that he remained so free of injuries for almost all of his career until joining us, but I guess that was the risk considering his age.
This is a guy whose heart would have told him to keep playing until someone told him he couldn’t, but his head has told him it’s time.

All the best for the future Woody.

Thank you so much Woody for everything you have contributed to our great club in your 2 seasons with us. I wish nothing but the best for you, Jade and the boys in whatever is the next chapter in your life. A Miller forever with the heart of a Viking! Good luck Woody.

He is a really good bloke, and has never given less than his full effort despite the difficulties he encountered at Rovers, good luck to the lad, from what the younger players here say he should do well in a coaching career if that is where he wants to go.
