Can't see him playing every game though like he would with us.

Bolton didn’t really have a first choice last year and split league games between their two keepers at a ratio of about 45:55. I imagine that means they’re not confident in either of them so would expect it to be TSL’s shirt to lose.

If it's between us or Bolton, I'm sure he'd be coming here

Maybe Chelsea have upped the % of wages they are asking for and we merely cannot afford him?

Perhaps, but I can't see them doing that

There are loads of good keepers about, we just don't seem that good at picking a good one out every time.

Money before development?

If you’d have said ‘loads of keepers about’, I would have agreed with you. But loads of ‘good’ keepers is another thing entirely. Depends what ‘good’ is meant to be, though I suppose.

There must be plenty who are “good enough” - we just don’t (generally) know who they are..

Same with all positions really, maybe that’s why we usually consider ex-players so much.?

Ben Killip available. Great shot stopper. Played with Sterry and Molyneux at Hartlepool.

And Chelsea are that hard up they want a bigger % of his wages paid? I would think they are more concerned with his development, if they think he will gain better experience elsewhere than at Rovers then that will be their choice. I would think that the step up and a familiar training regime is a positive for Rovers.

Of course Chelsea can up the loan fee now he's got a successful season under his belt, including becoming an England U21 keeper.

Kyle Letheran played a big part in both TLT and TSL coming to us, so he knows his gloves inside out.

I also noticed another keeper linked with Bolton so who knows but no need to panic.
