Pretty convinced he had a lot to do with the improvement in Olowu (and McGrath)
So Rotherham have got a good un there.

Delighted for him. Him and Andy Warrington will get a warm round of applause from me when we play them this season.

Then 90 minutes of pure vitriol. Rotherham bas**rds.

We can’t complain as we had 2 decent seasons out of him - and not just from a playing perspective, either. I wish him all the best - a smashing guy.

Hearing whispers there may be a Rotherham player coming our way? No names, but, apparently, their fans are reported to be a little bit peeved.

Not really bothered, never really had an impact here on the pitch, and certainly nowhere near as good as Rob jones.

Good luck to him, but he'll disappear into the endless obscurity of forgettable ex rovers players.

Harsh words.

He had a massive influence on the squad in the dressing from what I've been told, as did Tom  Anderson.

It’s not all about what happened on the pitch though.

That was clearly lost on Tony!

Let's employ him as a cheerleader then.
If only we still had the vikettes, perhaps he could show them a thing or two.

Didn’t our record equaling 10 wins on the bounce coincide with Wood’s return to the team last season?

Be interesting to see who that is. I was looking at Andre Green stats earlier this season and he seemed to tick GMs type of boxes......I could be way off the mark.

Surely he has left Millers to go to a higher level?

But yeah, it would be nice!

Think these comments are very harsh and certainly don’t think our manager and coaching staff will agree in anyway.
They have always stated the importance of Richard’s contributions and yes he did have an influence on the pitch in his first season. We were just unfortunate that we were could not have the full benefit of his experience on the pitch over the 2 years due to injury, unfortunately these things happen, and the guy has really suffered more than some people think.
You only have to listen to Billy’s in is latest interview and his comments about the pain which Richard has gone through in the time he has been with us, but he has given his all in this time showing his full professionalism.

I wish him all the best, like I say just unfortunate his experience on the pitch was restricted.

Definitely a great character in the dressing room and helped the team to gel. Admire his honesty in admitting he couldn’t go on that must have been an awful decision for him to make. Good luck Woody

keep on  digging that hole  and you will be with Sid in Australia soon

.....  Just realised you have given out contracts many a time - that's why you wanted shot of him
