I should know full well by now not to judge before I’ve seen the lad play but I have a great sense of underwhelming with this one.

That's on Hanlon.......be open minded. Support him as a supporter....and he may surprise and be a success.

Can people not trust grant. Why do people want to put a player down before he has kicked a ball with us.

Well, I've never seen him play.
But his goal scoring is poor, he's been injured for a year, and wycombe released him.

scoring and injury record spring to mind. I’ve already said I should know better than to judge but can’t help a gut feel.

Lots of talk about injuries but wasn't Owen Bailey's career threatened by serious injury.

AI and the below web page say at least it's possible recover from ACLs.

"Yes, footballers can and do recover from ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injuries. While it's a serious injury that requires surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process, advancements in medical science and rehabilitation techniques have made it possible for many players to return to their previous level of play"

Beyond me, that one!

I’m not sure how he improves us! Still, I’ll wait until I’ve seen him in action.

For anyone disappointed in his scoring record, Rob Street scored 8 in 84 EFL league games prior to joining us. Certain players thrive in certain systems and if you watch his goals he has pace to get behind opposition defenders like we had Street successfully doing. He has the attributes to do well for us. The injury record I guess we'll see on.

Someone please convince me that this is a good signing!

What we need to ask, is he better than what we have had and strengthen the squad.

I've questioned Grants decisions in the passed and  been proved wrong.

Only proven striker we've signed recently is Sharp, Marquis & Street weren't pulling up no strings until they played for us , only time will tell. Looks like Street will be staying at Lincoln though.

If there is anyone who gets this lad firing it’s our current manager.

Over the moon with the first 3 signings, not so much this one, but I was underwhelmed when Rob Street signed, and look how that turned out.

His goalscoring stats are around 1 in 6.5, so not so good there, but maybe GM can improve him.

As regards injuries, let's leave that to David Rennie.

We all want this kid to score a bag full of goals, which might be a big ask in League 1. Let's just hope for the best.

Listening to GM’s interview about other signings, he doesn’t mention a keeper at all?

Correction - listened again and it’s there, followed by a wry smile!

The key sentence is "Dave tells me that he is good to go", if our head of medical is confident then so am I!

Jesus christ,  some people on here need to get a reality check. The ink is barely dry on Hanlon's contract.and he's being deemed not good enough. Listen to what McCann as to say about him. I'm sure a few of you said same about Street  8 goals in 84 games,  look how that turned out. Would be interesting to see who Some of you think we should sign instead of moaning about who we have signed. Please do enlighten us with your knowledge on players

Exactly, You would think our "Fans" would by now be prepared to give GM an ounce of respect and buy into a signing that he's made for the club, after all its not in GM's or anyone else's interest to have a player fail.

He a manager of a professional club, brining players to the club that will cost us real money, I'm prepared to believe that the management have carried out all due diligence on any prospect or signing they wish to bring to the club.

Grant has a good record of producing players that will work very well in his systems, not many on here had a clue about some of our recent signings, why should now be any different!

Welcome Brandon, i think you will fit in here just fine.

Remember the young bloke who got lots of moans from some people on here. He didn't score many goals either. The great manager who got rid of him and then dumped us has been well and truly proven wrong.
Take a bow Alfie May.
