I wonder how long thev8 second rule will be enforced for before it's forgotten?
Can't believe they've not come up with a rule to stop the fake GK injury for tactical purposes. So simple make an outfield player have to go off for X amount of time.

With outfield players, in theory, if it's not a head injury, play can continue. Would it be fair to apply the rule to keepers, genuine or fake? How the hell is the ref going to make a countdown from 5 clear to everyone??Plus this applies when the keeper is holding the ball in hands/arms. All they're going to do is drop the ball to the ground and take their time to release it. We'd have to get a forward to challenge the keeper at all times to force them to pick it up and/or kick it back into play.I really don't think the 8/5 sec rule is going to change much.
One way to stop it is if the keeper goes down for treatment all players have to gather in the centre circle. That way the tactical team talk can't happen.

Doesn't matter. It's just following the same rule now if an outfield player goes down injured he has to go off for 30 seconds or whatever it is. Obviously the keeper can't go off so an outfield player would be sacrificed.

How earlier generations survived without it is a medical mystery. I imagine that the half-time cigarette was as important in times gone by.
The corner kicks are the most time consuming actions of a game, it’s all in wrestlers that the ref shouts and warns but it takes at least five minutes to sort out.The premier league started to book the offenders a few years back and it all fizzled out.
