Priority points

Can anyone explain how long your points last please. As in, is it the seasons before that you lose at the start of the season or further back. Mine just seem to have taken an unexpected hammering. Thanks.

Everyone’s has. You’ll have last seasons plus any season tickets/ memberships for this season. I have 80 points.

It tells you on your account when each set will expire

Really? Mine haven’t carried over? Only got this season’s membership points, nothing from last seasons away games at all?? How many points do you get for a season ticket? Thought it was 56?

With bigger teams and Stadiums, much harder opposition, are we likely to need them as much? the first cup game will be hard to navigate, our start to the season is not easy, and we have lost the heart of our defence from last season.
Our main aim this season has got to be survival anything above that even mid table mediocrity will be success.

I wouldn’t worry about the heart of defence. We’ve got the 3 new lads plus Faulkner back who’s quicker, stronger, a better tackler, a better header, more of a threat in both boxes, more articulate, is sleeping with a model, speaks 7 languages and is well on the way to curing cancer.  ;)

I don't think pre season counts

Games that won't or will struggle to make general sale

Mansfield
Rotherham
Peterborough - final day position dependant
Lincoln

Friendlies, I assume meaning pre season we don't have any during the season,  are counted
The reason I ask is that points are gained for  "home or away friendly matches sold by the Doncaster box office"
Buying direct as in the case of Alfreton or Gateshead  won't be allocated points?

Spot on, you’ll only get points for games sold via Doncaster Box Office, so for friendlies, as it stands, you can only get a point for the Blackpool fixture.

If you have had a ST for the last two years your points should be 50pts plus the away/cup games you went to last season…

That's correct, I'm now on 57 and bought a season ticket in March.

So from that new video I have no idea what the benefits of having points are.

I buy a season ticket every year and dont assign them as I have no clue what you get.

It could be a great benefit to people who maybe are looking at buying a season ticket and aren't just quite there.

That new video just says we have sorted points. I get why the video is there but it was a great opportunity to discuss the benefit of having points and what you get for them.

Im still clueless and can't be bothered to trawl about l, like many possible newbies.

Just saying , a slight tweak to how we are putting this amazing work over, could give us more opportunities.

It does discuss the benefits of having points.
It's a reward system for those who attend most home and away games with higher eligibility to buy away/cup match tickets.

The more points you accumulate,  the higher chance of getting tickets.

Might not be a much of a problem with most lg1 grounds having bigger away capacities

I get that but possibly not a benefit for the drifter that. Are there any other benefits? I could be someone who takes advantage so great. If anything a put off for newbies, well I might not get tickets. It's a tough balance I suppose, like every business.

Want I'm saying is it all seems to get messy.

Points, money off tickets, purple vouchers, its all too much of a message. I'd be confused If I was a drifter. I dont know what the answer is by the way, but just my thoughts.

I can’t see how this would put a “drifter” off buying home tickets or a season ticket.  If they want to go to the football, they can get one.

The only confusion I could see is the priorities for away tickets.  Is a drifter going to be that concerned about away games, unless they’re an exile.?

Ill give you an example.

I buy a rovers season ticket every year. I love the rovers.

For the first time ever I went to the Knights as my mates were going I enjoyed it. I thought I may go often and get a season ticket. Too much going off on what to do options available, what do points means prizes, no they dont. So I haven't bought one. Now do I want to watch Rugby or not. My guess is now not enough as Ive had to trawl through stuff, guess stuff, wonder which part of the stadium is.

So at the exact point I would have bought 2 actually. Now I havent bought any.

Sometime you only get one chance and it has to be clear.

The club are doing a great job, everything is on the up and I desperately want them to sell more season tickets.

Just a mention thats all.

With all due respect mpc I think you're over complicating things.
It's quite straight forward.

As for benefits,  I'm watching a game of football for around £10.50, pretty much half price of a match day ticket.

I get that I do it.

If the message purely was that, you may have hit the jackpot

"Come and watch a game of football for 10.50 per game"

Sorted

For example I was thinking

Why not do a clear and concise video for each category..... are you living outside of the UK .... what options do I have, with links in the description l, directly to where to go on each option. Going forward where ever you see the term exile this is what it means, so check out exile on our website.

New Video Buy season tickets year on year.....

This is the video for you early renew price, what do points mean, purple vouchers blar blar.

Link to all options and new shadow board details on why they looked to tweak things and how it makes it better with points.

Etc etc

Instead of giving through loads of stuff that doesn't suit me.
