Joe Root has also taken more catches in test cricket than anyone else after today’s second Indian wicket.
Eeh, int sport brilliant....
Bet that was a t**t of a wicket.516 runs for 40 wickets in the four innings. Lowest aggregate in a test match in which all 40 wickets fell since 1907.
For all the excitement of England winning, I'm absolutely enthralled by Bumrah as a bowler. I went to the Headingley test a few weeks ago and it was electrifying watching both him and Stokes. There's something almost superhuman about their presence. The way they impose themselves on the game and make something happen. But Bumrah is the more interesting one because his technique is so unique. He's a bit of a freak of nature given his far his elbow over extends, and his timing of snapping that through is what gives him the pace. But I've never seen anyone bowl at his pace and be so metronome-accurate. Given the dominance of batting in the modern game, for a bowler to have a career test average under 20.0 is phenomenal. He's in the reckoning to be the best bowler of all time. Absolute privilege to see him play in the flesh.
