Appreciate it’s in the off topic section but think it’s worth another shout out for Sam Kitchens fund raising game at Rosso’s ground on Sunday 1pm
For those who don’t know Sam suffered spinal damage in a fall

Some familiar names to Rovers fans on the team sheet.  Should be good. Well worth supporting (and the clubhouse does Estrella at a more than reasonable £5.50 a pint)

Is that Danny Schofield - as in our old manager....?  - thought he had disappeared to Oz.

He’s still at Central Coast Mariners but the A League is in close season until October.

That doesn't seem to make sense, CBCB. October is almost the start of the scorching hot Aussie summer.

Surely they won't be playing football during those months.

The A League season starts in October and ends in late May. The A League close season is largely the period when the dominant sports of rugby league (NRL) and Australian Rules (AFL) are played.

So they're playing football in summer, and having a close season in winter. Bloody strange that.

In all that sizzling heat, there must be drink breaks in abundance.

Really good turnout.

That Danny Schofield looks a player. Worth a punt?
