Looks like they will stay up again this season. What an achievement. Not sure if they are also getting benefit of Terry and his cash but the Dons are doing very well at the moment.

That's what you call team spirit they could do more than stay up if you look at the league table

Also, the game was held up for more than an hour with a serious neck injury to one of the Widnes players.

Gebbie, the Dons top try scorer, was sent off for that tackle.

Win the game in hand and the Don's are fifth. Well in the play off places. Got a lot of home games to come too.

They've been great this season playing some exciting running rugby with cheeky offloads. Even in defeat, for the most part they've been great to watch.

A word too about Doncaster Knights who also play some great running Rugby.

It's a good time for 'football' in this City at the moment.

The Dons were unbelievable yesterday. To win a game with a two man disadvantage in RL is so difficult. Anyone wanting to see true bloody minded resilience and teamwork should watch the game on you tube. I guarantee you will be impressed. Should be available later today.

Six of the last eight Dons games are at home starting Sunday against Batley. Come on down - you won’t regret it.

They have a game in hand on every team above them and two
points from that would see them in a play-off position .Next stop Super league ?

They have lost seven games this season. All but one were narrow defeats. They have been improving steadily for three seasons or so. What they do need is more support. The existing fans are fanatical. Just need more of them.

They have distributed 600 free ‘kids’ tickets for the next home game next Sunday ..They are sowing seeds for the future as  DRFC  is through school visits and Family stand .It is Club Doncaster !

I still keep an eye on their results and used to go to all the home games (Tattersfield Stainy OBV and Keepmoat) and some away but haven't been for years. I might though be tempted back on Sunday against Batley. Do you have to pay in advance or cay you just turn up and pay at the gate?

You can buy a ticket on the day from the ticket office, although it is a tad more expensive. If you have a club Doncaster account you can buy them online.

It's £4 cheaper to get it before the day of the game.

They also have a half season pas to cover the last 6 games

He clearly swung his right arm/fist at the Widnes lad as he tackled him. He knew what he'd done straightaway as you can see his concern for the lad he's hit.

Transfer deadline is approaching and Dons have signed Luis Johnson, a strong running second rower from Castleford, Formerly of Hull KR and Warrington.

They could really do with bringing a winger in, particularly if Gebbie gets a suspension

Dons full back Craig Hall, who was a bit of a boo boy for some sections of the Dons fans last year, has been named championship player of the month

I bet that he is well chuffed with that. He must have worked hard and must have silenced the doubters now.
