On loan for a season at Gateshead in National League he must have impressed when we and he played them.

By all accounts he had a very good loan last season so this is a natural next step

Heard one of our young players was heading out to the national league earlier today and assumed it was Flint. Good club and a good loan for the lad, fingers crossed he takes the opportunity and gets the minutes.

He was outstanding for Darlington last season, nice to see the level of clubs our youngsters are going to are getting better.

  A great loan for Will, who did really well last season at Darlington more than holding his own in a very competitive league and attracting the interest of other sides as well as Gateshead.
  Gateshead are themselves undergoing a change of manager and playing staff and are not fancied to be quite the force at National League level they have been in recent seasons, so let's hope Will can do well and go some way to helping them do better than expected.

  To be honest that's the three young players of promise all out on loan quite easily, the hard part will be getting some of the others out on loan now.

Presumably that is because it costs next to nothing to loan a youngster but a bit more for the senior players.
