Season tickets, PDF's and physical cards
« on July 30, 2025, 10:21:36 am by silent majority »
We've had a message from the ticket office who want to ensure that everybody is fully aware of how this process will work going forward, so hopefully a little clarification here;

 - Digital season tickets were emailed out to supporters around the 10th July attached to a confirmation email.  These replace last season cards which the QR codes are no longer valid.

- If you have subsequently requested a physical card, this will invalidate your digital QR code.  Therefore please do not try to use the digital one at the turnstile as it will not work and hold up queues.

- We have tried to encourage supporters to have digital cards to help save your club money in printing costs and move on like many other clubs have done.

- If anyone would like any assistance with saving their card to their phone to help the club do not hesitate to contact us or come in to the box office prior to matchday

Note - I used a 3rd party app called Pass4Wallet which enabled me to convert the PDF into a format that can be saved in Apple Wallet if that helps!

Thanks for the update SM. I hadn't realised that and would have fallen fowl of trying to my digital QR after having requested a physical card.
Speaking to a few friends they got physical card as a back up in case the digital one didn't work. as I did.

Note to self, get their early on Saturday.

Exactly that! I was like yourself, thought you could have both and use one as a back up, but obviously not.

The problem with digital season ticket is having an iPhone you can’t put in the wallet. Hopefully next season that will be sorted. That’s why I chose a physical card.

I did the same , so what measures are in place for those that turn up with Digital Tickets but don't work for some reason or another.

Send them to the ticket office to get their physical card or buy a new ticket if they have forgotten their physical card.
Gonna be fun and games.

There won’t be a physical card available for people who haven’t already requested one.

Would imagine that the ticket office will be able to print off a temporary one for the ones where it doesn’t work

Open the email on your phone, and the pdf attachment.  Zoom in so the qr code almost fills the screen, then take a screen shot saved to your photos.

That’s what I’ve been doing with regular e-tickets..

Or open the email on a pc and print on paper.?

surely if its the same qr code on the digital system as the physical card, once its been used, it should lock out any more entrances on the day, so the card cant be passed to a mate etc etc, to only have one or the other seems crazy?

As others have said, I have used screenshots for cup tickets and friendlies before, as I have for boarding passes at Airports etc, with no problems. Just a little bit easier to retrieve etc.

However on Saturday, I'd bought three tickets and sent screenshots to my two mates. One of the three didn't work, so I had to retrieve the download from my documents and hand my phone through the turnstile to my mate behind me. That worked fine. Just wierd two worked and one didn't.

I guess the moral is, be prepared. It doesn't take that long to retrieve your official PDF and have it ready.

I think that will be the big issue on Saturday, those who have a physical card but haven't brought it with them thinking they can use the QR code on the email.

We requested a physical card but didn't get the email for a digital card, therefore we just surmised by requesting the physical card you weren't offered a digital one. If that makes sense!

Yes and that’s how it was intended, supporters were to be issued with a digital season ticket, but supporters who considered a digital ticket would not work for them, could request a physical card, which is what I did.
Just seems to me that numerous supporters have received the digital and then requested a physical card. Thus complicating the system and in some cases now trying to say the clubs message was not clear!

Seemed clear to me.

Those who bought an early bird ST , weren't offered a new Physical Card  , they were just sent an email with the Digital Card when it was decided that last years card couldn't be used because of complications.
The clubs message was clear , but I wanted a Physical Card and so went and got one .

I got an early bird and I’m sure that the club said somewhere at some stage that physical cards were that were available if preferred. I do remember reading it.
Me and the mate ordered them over the phone with no problem.

Thanks SM. I’ve downloaded that app and it was simple to get the QR code into my wallet, albeit there’s no photograph, so hopefully that will be accepted. However I’ve also saved the original email in a folder and screenshotted the original and saved it in favourite photos. Hopefully, one way or another I’m covered and will get in - just need to make sure I don’t lose my phone now! I think I’ll print it out as well, just in case! :woohoo:

I've done the same thing. Hopefully the one in the Wallet will work OK and that'll be me done for the season!

Between my brother and me we noticed that the QR code changes when going from PDF to .pkpass (which is the format the wallet stores it in) but when scanned comes up with exactly the same information.
