Gone on initial six week loan to Bridlington Town. They play in the Northern Premier League - East Division (step 4) competing with sides like Emley, North Ferriby, Hallam FC and Bradford Park Avenue.

Last time we sent a player to Bridlington Town was that postman his name escapes me, I think it was Alan something Radford or Radcliffe. Someone with a better memory than me will remember he played with Graeme Jones in the dark times.

We had an Alan Radford on trial I think from Brid town around the same time we signed Jones I seem to remember

Alan Radford it was indeed - but I believe we signed both of them from Brid as opposed to loaned Radford to 'em - they were an unbelievable pair together at Brid prior to Rovers but didn't quite work out together at OBV.

Struggled at Whitby last season which was at a level too high the manager who came in there when they were in trouble preffering to play himself in games, hopefully he does well at Bridlington .

Scored with a header from a corner for Bridlington Town at the weekend to earn a draw in an FA Cup preliminary round against West Auckland.

Replay tonight at Brid.

There was an Alan Radford that scored the winning goal for Bridlington town to win the F.A vase at Wembley.
He played for Brodsworth miners welfare in the North East Counties for a couple of seasons too.

Chris Swailes was another good player that was signed from Brid by Richardson. There was another centre half who came at the same time. He was nearly very good but didn't reach the same heights as Swailes. Can't remember his name.

Graeme Jones was working as postman and playing for Bridlington when we signed him. Are you saying we signed 2 postman from Brid at the same time? Crazy! Wouldn't happen today

Paul Marquis became a postman after playing for us. At least we gave something back to the service.
