Ready for pelters but it concerns me that we’re starting with Bailey, Broadbent and Clifton in midfield. That wasn’t good enough in League Two and although Broadbent improved a lot as the season went on it feels a weak spot to me. Maybe Gotts is at least partly the answer and isn’t quite up to speed yet, but I’d really hope we’ve got a strong loanee coming in there to improve it. Needs a bit of craft to go along with the graft.

Broadbent was immense today, finished last season really strong and picked up where he left off today !

Clifton & Broadbent were good and normally are imo.

Gotts looks a nice player from what I saw today. Glaring area in need of improvement is centre forward. Ironside might have offered more from the start imo

Having one player up front against a three is hard and 11 teams in league 1 today started with three at the Back. It then doesn’t help having both wide players on their line. This will need to be looked at when we playing against those sides
Thought Middleton was good but Molyneux was poor. I like Cifton he’s a grafter but is he good enough skill wise to play behind or alongside the striker.

Close and westbrooke haven’t been in many squads for well over a year now so not sure anything regarding that is surprising
