Maybe it was this:

It was the first league match Rovers have won after going behind since the 4-1 win at Colchester the season before last (April 2024).

That is a deceptive piece of data and inappropriate to this squad who i do see as a being a group of players that let their heads drop !

It’s just my opinion, I was disappointed in it! I have a feeling if TSL Jones … had been in net a different view may be had on here.

I don’t want to distract from another great overall performance and 3 points - if you’re happy he did all he could, that’s fine with me.

I was expecting someone to say “Jones would have saved it”.

TLT is exceptional in that he sprints around his area and distributes the ball faster than any other modern GK I have seen. This is surely a great asset because modern players are used to GKs moving around in slow motion, although perhaps the new rule might lead to a bit more haste - if it’s properly enforced.

Pardon the ignorance, but for those of us that are too young/don't know, what is the 'Mansfield moment ' that you're all refering to?

Here's the season review. In context, we had just been promoted back into the league after 4 long tortuous seasons in the Conference, thanks to Sir Francis Tierney at Stoke. The first magic moment of the post Richardson era under JR.

We started League Two better than anyone could ever imagined and whilst we were in and around the top 4, as a football fan, we never quite believe we can keep it up, with Hull City the red hot favourites to win the league and Mansfield, highly fancied to join them.

Then came the day, when all that anxiety of looking at the league table over and over again, turned into belief that no one was going to stop us. All of that emotion was wrapped up in that celebration when Greg Blundell hit the back of the net at Mansfield, beating our nearest rival on their turf and in the league table.

Thanks for replies, now I understand. Funnily enough, my first memory of Rovers was being outside the mansion house seeing the team with the trophy on the balcony at the end of that season!

I was there and remember giving it to Liam Lawrence who turned us down to stay at the stags ! He was one hell of a player, but didn’t stop me at every opportunity reminding him of what he could have been a part of ! Obviously in some very delicate language.

It was the moment at which we, collectively, realised the Rovers were going to do it. Win the league. Beat 'Peter Taylor's Hull City' to the title. Mansfield were a pretty decent side. Beating them at their place, watching Gregg Blundell put them away, gave every one of us belief.  And it's that which matters in the end.

It's early to be making those judgements for this season as a whole, but boy it's a good start!

If we've declared the Mansfield Moment already, at least it gives us a good while to sort the plane and banner out.
