The best and most consistent performance was by Gary Kelly, playing against us for Reading. He had power and accuracy on every corner and free kick that he took that night. It was no surprise when Dave Kitson finally equalised from one of the corners.
I seem to remember we had good success from corners under Penney. McIndoe and Green had a very nifty little corner routine to get in behind and whip a low ball into a packed box that worked quite a few times.

Either way i recall every time Reading got a corner there was a groan from the stands. Pin point accuracy.
I know we scored from an out swinger last night but in swingers are a better value option. It was proven long ago you have more chance of creating good chances from in swingers. Look at Arsenal, the best corner scoring team of all time, in swingers all the way.

Well yeah but they have players like Rice and Saka who have the quality to drop it right under the crossbar at the back post 9 times out of 10. Most of the time I've seen us try something similar it end up as an easy catch for the keeper. At this level you've got to mix it up and keep the opposition guessing.

Think you do the thing that gives you best chance over and over again.
